Delicious food, good portions, prompt service
My experience at the restaurant was great! The food was tasty and served in a clean restaurant. We ordered two dishes, which came out promptly and tasted wonderful.
The quantity was generous enough for us to take some home!

Addictive Beans & Bold Szechuan Flavors
My experience at Szechuan Chef was fantastic! If you're in San Diego and crave authentic Chinese food, this is a must-stop. Everything we ordered was bold, fresh, and full of flavor.
The deep-fried kidney beans were a surprise standout – absolutely addictive, crispy, savory, and impossible to stop eating. The service was quick and friendly, and the portions were generous. It was easily one of the best Szechuan meals I've had, and I would come back just for those beans.

Authentic Szechuan Delights
My experience at this restaurant was centered around its very authentic Szechuan food. I would recommend trying the Dan Dan Noodles and the Red Pepper Fried Chicken. The service was rated a 5, and the food also received a 5.
The price per person was between $10–20, and we enjoyed our meal in the quiet indoor dining area, where it was easy to talk.

Slow Service Ruined Otherwise Decent Meal
My experience at this restaurant was marred by incredibly slow service. While the food tasted fine, the wait times between dishes were excessive. We waited over 40 minutes for our last dish, and when we tried to send it back, we were told it was "already made.
" The dishes were sent out one at a time with about 10 minutes between each, meaning we had finished previous dishes before the next one arrived. Given the overall slow service, I won't be returning, as there are better Chinese restaurants in San Diego.

Authentic and Spicy Sichuan Delight
We were looking for a Chinese restaurant and stumbled upon this place, deciding to give it a try. The food was great, especially the noodles, which were freshly made and perfect. The cuisine offered an authentic Sichuan spicy flavor that we truly loved.
The service was good, with waitresses being attentive and friendly. In terms of price, it's very affordable, and the portions are really big, ensuring you'll be full. I definitely recommend it to people seeking authentic Chinese and especially Sichuan cuisine, but be advised that it is spicy and yummy.

Overpriced and Unbearable Atmosphere
My experience at this restaurant was overwhelmingly negative. Imagine eating all the spicy food and sitting with 10 people, and the restaurant is too cheap to turn on the AC or the fan. The cauliflower with salted meat dish was so spicy that after one bite, I felt like I needed to drown myself in water.
I would save yourself some time and money and go to Panda Express instead; you can thank me later. This is overpriced Chinese food that can't even match Panda Express's level. The restaurant is a total bust.

Service Good, Food Disappointing
My experience at this restaurant was mixed. The service was good, but unfortunately, the food was not good at all. I ordered the orange chicken, rice, and chow mein.
None of the dishes were particularly tasty. Due to the poor food quality, I won't be returning.

Flavorful Food with Great Service
My experience at this restaurant was overwhelmingly positive. The sizzling beef was great, and the cucumbers were also excellent. Most of the dishes here are very flavorful.
While the chives XLB were just okay, the overall food quality, combined with the service and atmosphere, made for a fantastic visit. I highly recommend this place.

Authentic and Delicious Numbing Chinese Food
My experience at the restaurant was fantastic! I tried the mapo tofu, la zi ji, green beans, and Dan Dan mian. Everything was delicious and had a very pleasant numbing quality.
The food felt quite authentic. The service received a rating of 4, and the atmosphere was also rated 4. The food itself was rated a perfect 5.

Excellent Food, Poor Rice Choice
My experience at this restaurant was largely positive, with food that was very good. However, the low-quality steamed rice was a significant letdown, a shame to pair with the otherwise excellent menu options. I hope they will change their rice to something more palatable, such as Jasmine Thai rice.
