Terrible experience, got sick
My friend and I had a very unpleasant experience at this restaurant. My friend got sick the next morning after eating a California roll here. This was a very concerning outcome from our meal.

Disappointing Change from Poki 1/2
My experience at this restaurant has unfortunately changed for the worse. When it was known as Poki 1/2, the food was super delicious. Now, with a new name and the addition of a sushi station, the quality has declined. The tuna is not the same, and they've removed most of the protein choices. The spicy mayo has also changed, and some toppings were removed. I noticed the tuna had chunks of albumin, which was unpleasant. Due to these changes, I will not be returning, which is sad because I really enjoyed it when I attended SDSU.

Unfriendly Staff and Slow Service
My experience at this restaurant was quite disappointing. The workers were not friendly at all. Upon walking in, no one even acknowledged us, despite the place being empty. We ordered two poke bowls, and it took over 15 minutes for our order to arrive, which was surprising given there was absolutely no one else there. There were three workers present: the cashier was constantly on her phone, another worker was watching TV and eating/drinking on the sushi counter where food is prepared – a practice that is frankly gross and out of health code standards. Only one worker seemed to be actively working, which likely explains the prolonged wait for two simple poke bowls.

Fantastic Food, Welcoming Host!
I had a fantastic experience here. The cleanliness was truly impressive, and the host made me feel very welcome. But the food? Absolutely amazing! Don't miss the Star Wars roll – it was a highlight. Highly recommended to everyone.

Disappointing Change in Ownership
This used to be THE best poke you could get around here. After the change of ownership, they now charge you more with less portion sizes. Way to run a beloved franchise to the ground at this location.

Poke Portion Cut, Price Doubled
My experience was quite disappointing. The poke portion was cut in half, while the price was doubled. It felt like a significant reduction in value. I was told to "have an amazing day and go love yourself, " which was an odd and unhelpful closing remark for a take-out order.

Order wrong twice, frustrating experience
My experience at this restaurant was quite disappointing. The most frustrating part was that they got my order wrong twice, even after I provided it to them on a piece of paper. This significantly impacted my dining experience.

Employee ran into me, hurt my leg
My experience at the restaurant was marred by a service incident. While I was standing in line, an employee ran into me from behind, hurting my leg. I suspect this was either intentional or the employee is blind. The employee was a short, older guy.

Disheartened by Rebranding and Portion Size Changes
I’m truly disheartened by the recent rebranding and the new portion sizes of their Poke Bowls. Poki One N Half was my favorite spot on campus, and it’s baffling that they decided to change a successful model. The previous setup was working perfectly. This used to be the best place at SDSU to get a healthy/filling meal. I urge everyone to pay attention to the recent reviews highlighting their subpar service and shockingly small serving sizes. From now on, I will be going to the Poki One N Half in North Park. EDIT: I just found out their reason for rebranding: They were failing to maximize their revenue. It turns out that students using their SDSU dining dollars for Poke Bowls significantly reduced their profits compared to other Poki One N Half locations. Their solution? A complete rebranding to offer a variety of plates that have lower production costs but are sold at a higher price point… Don't worry you can still get your Poke Bowl, it will just have significantly smaller portions and come at a higher price point.

Reduced Portions, Not Worth It
As many others have said, the sauce and meat portions have been significantly reduced, making it not worthwhile to eat here.
