Unbelievably Good Fish Sandwich!
My experience at the restaurant was fantastic! I found the fish sandwich to be unbelievably good and highly recommend it. I also loved the cookie crunch banana pudding.
The service and atmosphere were both rated a perfect 5, contributing to an excellent overall dining experience.

Absolutely Delicious Food - Need Bigger Plates!
My experience at this restaurant was exceptional, far beyond a typical meal. I'd rate it a 10 or 11 out of 10! The food was so delicious that I immediately wished they had larger plates so I could order more.
I'm already planning my next trip to ensure I can visit during their store hours. The cheesecake was a delightful twist on banana pudding, and the Mac n cheese was perfectly saucy and stringy with fantastic flavor. The yams were incredible, and the rice n gravy brought back fond Thanksgiving memories.
I highly recommend trying it at least once. I ordered the chicken with three sides and found myself wishing for a mountain of everything, especially the crunchy chicken. Do they offer a bigger plate option?
I certainly hope so!

Quick and Enjoyable Food Stop
I stopped by for the first time today while running errands and thoroughly enjoyed the food! I called ahead and right on the 30-minute mark my food was ready, so it was a quick drop-in since there isn’t outdoor seating.

Dishonest Service and Terrible Food
My experience at this restaurant has been consistently negative due to their dishonesty. They often claim to be sold out of items when they are not, which has led me to avoid them for years. Furthermore, I find the food to be trash.

Delicious Food, Worth the Wait!
If you're planning a weekend visit, I highly recommend arriving before they open at 12 PM. Everything on their menu is pretty good! I've consistently enjoyed their chicken wings, mac and cheese, and greens.
They also offer a daily lemonade special, which is a nice touch.

Best Soul Food in San Diego!
My experience at this restaurant was absolutely amazing! I've tried many soul food places in San Diego, but this one is by far the best. The fried chicken, yams, and mac n cheese were all incredible.
Everything tasted truly homemade, and the people were really nice. A tip for ordering: try to get your order in right as they open. You might need to call a few times because their phone line can get backed up.

Best Grits and Fried Seafood!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! If you ask me, they have the best grits in town. I also tried their fried shrimp, fish, and chicken dishes, and they were all The BOMB!

Closed for Summer - Disappointing Visit
I came here today, and I was annoyed because it was closed! Apparently, it's closed for the whole month of June and July, and I'm visiting. What a waste, it's hard to find soul food here.

Great Food, Needs Better Signage
My experience at this restaurant was marked by excellent food, particularly the shrimp and grits, which I absolutely loved. However, the establishment could significantly improve its visibility and attract more customers by implementing a few changes. I suggest you seriously consider putting a menu up out front and perhaps a better sign.
I had been driving past this place for a year before I realized it was a food establishment. You'd get more business if you had a menu posted above the ordering area.

Awesome Food, Minor Inconveniences
To start off strong, the food was awesome. Me and my buddy had the shrimp and the catfish baskets with fries, and it came with a breadstick in each. The only two issues I had were that there wasn’t a place to sit and eat, and that there was a 30-minute wait.
Not really that big of issues in light of the amazing taste and the portion size of the food. I’m from Virginia and I haven’t had good catfish since 2013, so it was a nice reminder of home. I’ll definitely be back again to try some of the other things on the menu!
