Rude Service Ruined My Visit
My experience at this restaurant was marred by extremely rude, disrespectful, and dismissive service from one employee in particular. This individual got my order wrong, laughed at my plant milk request, and acted as though remaking the drink was a significant hassle. This employee, described as a medium height younger African American guy with long curly hair and a big head, clearly lacked respect.
Due to this negative service experience, I will NOT be returning.

Challenging Drive-Thru Experience
I'm warning people about this location as it's one of the few drive-throughs still open. The location itself is weird, and the drivers are even weirder. The parking lot is small and cramped, filled with many cars, including double-parked camping vehicles that take up space and aren't paying attention, making it challenging to get to the drive-thru at times.
This location seems to attract the worst drivers, including those who have never ordered at Starbucks before. Multiple times, I've been stuck behind cars that literally stop in the parking lot for no reason because they're unfamiliar with a Starbucks drive-through and don't know how to order. I've also witnessed drivers with such poor manners who, after receiving their order, spend five minutes having a private conversation, blocking all the cars behind them.
People do this even for two drinks, indicating they aren't checking their order but are being rude and holding up the line. The staff aren't expediting anything. The staff is constantly changing; individually, some are nice and try to be friendly, but overall, they seem checked out.
This drive-through is a hassle.

Great Service, Convenient Drive-Thru
My experience at the restaurant was marked by great service and friendly staff. I would particularly recommend the Linda Vista location if you're in a hurry, as the drive-thru is convenient. The atmosphere was rated 5, service 5, and food 5.

Beautiful Space, Disappointing Service
Wow, this Starbucks is absolutely beautiful. It’s honestly one of the biggest and most stunning lobbies I’ve ever seen. I actually traveled just to visit this location because I’d heard so many great things and couldn’t wait to experience it for myself.
I was even excited to capture some content of the gorgeous setup, but unfortunately, my experience with Lark really changed the tone of my visit. When I asked for two cups of ice, Lark told me I needed to make a purchase first. I was happy to do so, but after I paid, he didn’t say a single word.
He just walked away without handing me my receipt, leaving me standing there at the register until another partner noticed I was waiting. His energy felt cold and unwelcoming, and instead of offering even a simple thank you or acknowledgment, he carried on as if I wasn’t there. What really disappointed me was that the entire interaction felt rushed, dismissive, and honestly rude.
There was laughter during the order that didn’t feel friendly—it felt like we were being laughed at, not with. As someone who used to be a Starbucks barista, I know what great service and genuine connection look like, and this wasn’t it. I’ve always loved Starbucks for its warmth, consistency, and community feel.
I’m a loyal customer and tumbler collector, and visiting new stores is something I truly enjoy. But this visit made me feel unwelcome in a place that’s supposed to feel like a little home away from home. I left feeling disappointed and bummed that I didn’t even feel comfortable staying to enjoy the beautiful space I’d come to see.
This store has so much potential, and I really hope this feedback encourages more kindness, attentiveness, and genuine connection with guests in the future.

Incompetent Staff Ruined My Visit
My experience at this restaurant was incredibly frustrating due to a terrible interaction with the staff. I specifically requested to pay in cash and confirmed the total was $6. 75 with the barista.
I handed her the exact amount: $6 in bills, two quarters, two dimes, and one nickel. After she dropped the coins and I picked them up, she audaciously claimed it wasn't enough. To make matters worse, she made a nonsensical comment about the coins 'already making up a dollar.
' Instead of correcting her mistake, she insisted I was short and gave me attitude throughout the entire exchange. Because I was in a rush, I reluctantly gave her an extra dollar to end the ordeal, but I left absolutely furious. I shouldn't have to overpay due to a worker's inability to perform basic math.
The entire interaction was unprofessional, frustrating, and a complete waste of my time. I will not be returning to a place that employs incompetent staff with zero customer service skills.

Fast Drive-Thru, Good Food, Wish Sandwich Warmer
My experience at the restaurant was generally positive. I loved how fast the drive-thru was. Everything was good, although I do wish my sandwich was a bit warmer.

Inconsistent Orders, Medical Risk
I finally had my last straw with this location today and had to make a review. I've been coming to this Starbucks for about 5 months now since working nearby. I always order half decaf.
On multiple situations, I've had to specify, 'Please make sure whomever is making my drink knows half decaf of 2/3 etc. ' I have even had to make it a point during my ordering that it's due to medical conditions that are a severe health risk, because many times I would know they didn't make it right even though they assured me it was. Today I ordered a single shot Americano and there is no way in heck you can tell this color is a single shot!
At any other Starbucks, it's always a light brown, but this Starbucks, for whatever reason, this location never gets it right. I understand these young people are rushing. However, they do not take into consideration the way people order per person are not just to be picky, and in many cases, need to be taken most seriously rather than rushing people in and out.
I will not be back to this location, and much rather go to another location where my money and tips are not risking me heart palpitations or spasms every time they give me an order incorrectly for the last 5 months. This color in this cup is easily a million words, at least 3-4 caffeinated shots of caffeine like a normal Americano. I specifically ORDERED ONE SINGLE SHOT AND WHEN I SAW IT I ASKED THE GIRL AT THE DRIVE THROUGH, 'ARE U SURE THIS IS ONE SHOT?
' AND SHE ONCE AGAIN ASSURES ME IT WAS. She didn't even bother to ask the person who made it or recognize it looked wrong.

Inconsistent Matcha, Poor Customer Satisfaction
I mobile ordered an iced Matcha latte and it looked really gross. I was nervous to ask for a remake, but the staff were really nice about it and didn't make me feel bad. The guy who works Tuesday and maybe Thursday mornings, wearing a black apron, is particularly nice.
However, the matcha is never a consistent color, which makes me sad. Edit: I’ve been back, and my matcha was literally white. I had them remake it again.
I will never be coming to this store again; their employees literally don’t care about customer satisfaction whatsoever. I thought maybe it was a one-time thing, but they can NEVER get it right 🤦♀️.

Dangerous Lids Cause Burns
My experience this week has been concerning due to recurring issues with the venti lids. Twice, the lid has popped off, and the second time resulted in burning hot coffee spilling all over my hand, legs, and feet on my walk home. I make sure the lids are on securely before leaving, but this suggests a need for better lids.
