Excellent Service and Quick Resolution
My experience was great! I came in to order two drinks with my 3-year-old Malinois. We received fast service and a pup cup.
Unfortunately, my dog got distracted and lunged into some bushes, causing me to drop one of my drinks. When I returned to the store, they remade the drink without question. The entire process was simple, fast, efficient, and without interrogation.
I would highly recommend this place! Thanks, guys!

Inconsistent Starbucks Experience
My experience at this Starbucks was disappointing. The service at the drive-thru was unfriendly, with the staff member on the speaker sounding like they hated their job. Furthermore, the drinks were not up to the usual Starbucks standards, which is a shame as consistency is what I usually appreciate about this chain.

Pleasant Surprise, Avoid Drive-Thru!
Haven't been to this location for over a year. It was a VERY pleasant surprise at how much friendlier and efficient the staff are now! The drive-thru is heavily impacted, so avoid that at all costs.
Inside is much faster, but the parking lot is small and you'll often be backing into the drive-up line, so take that into consideration. Amy was the barista: a lovely, pleasant, and efficient person ♡☆

Urgent Parking and Respect Needed for SciEats
As your next-door neighbor, SciEats, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we are dedicated to making healthy, nutritious meals accessible to all through a sliding scale pricing model and community engagement. We aim to provide healthy options and education while respecting individual choices. We have encountered issues with Starbucks customers using our private parking lot, which is funded by donations.
This occurs because Starbucks' own parking capacity is limited, leading to customers lining up on the street and sometimes using our lot. When we requested these customers to leave, some became physically and verbally abusive, using racist slurs and threatening deportation. Our primary concern is philosophical and health-oriented: why should donor money be diverted to support corporate profit?
We also have practical concerns, as signs clearly indicate "Private Parking – Tow Away" and "No Trespassing, " yet some customers ignore them, reflecting poorly on their judgment and respect for others’ property. We approached Starbucks with two reasonable requests: to educate their customers not to use other private parking lots and to expand their parking capacity. Starbucks declined both, stating it is not their responsibility and that expansion is unaffordable.
Therefore, we urge Starbucks customers to exercise common sense and respect our property. Please do not misuse SciEats’ donor-funded resources for corporate convenience. Let’s all make thoughtful choices that align with community values, health, and respect for others.
Thank you for your understanding. — SciEats Team

Exceptional Service and Atmosphere
My experience at this Starbucks was outstanding, largely due to the exceptional service provided by Cassidy. She was one of the nicest employees I've encountered, not only friendly but also very helpful, even suggesting a new coffee flavor for me to try at home. The entire team contributed to a welcoming atmosphere by greeting customers upon arrival and bidding them farewell.
The store itself is clean, comfortable, and offers plenty of space.

Robotic Service vs. Human Touch
Hello my Neighbour's 🤗 My visit to the Starbucks #8706 on 6701 El Cajon Blvd. Was a lesson in the future of service. The robotic interaction could easily be automated.
It’s a world away from the Starbucks on Adams Avenue, where baristas like Jessica demonstrate "the human algorithm"—an irreplaceable gift for perception that no AI can replicate. Businesses that rely on the former will become obsolete. Those that cultivate the latter will lead.
Wouldn't you agree?

Disappointing Starbucks Experience
Aside from the blank, dystopian feel of this Starbucks, I never really had a problem with their service or drinks until today. I got duped by their online ordering through Door Dash and ended up paying almost $17 freaking dollars for a venti hot white chocolate mocha. When it arrived, it was missing about 2 inches of liquid.
Who made this drink and let it leave the counter like this! ?! This drink is the perfect example of living in the year 2025 where prices are exorbitant and quality is non existent.
To their credit, both Door Dash and Isabell from Starbucks tried to help remedy the situation to which I'm grateful.

Cold brew disappointment
My experience was centered around a simple order: a cold brew with a splash of whipping cream. Unfortunately, what I received was a drink with sweet milk. I returned the drink and requested it again, this time with less whipping cream, but the result was the same.
This indicates a recurring issue with drink preparation.

Consistently Great Starbucks Experience
This Starbucks used to be my go-to third place when I needed a break from my roommates and a place to work and study. I spent so much time here and loved it. Even now, I still hit the drive-thru, and the service is always great.
Drinks are made right every time, and the staff is super friendly. Easily one of the best Starbucks spots!

Disappointing Service Despite Good Food
I usually order online and pick up, but today I wanted to dine in to avoid disposable cups. I tried to communicate this preference, but my water was still served in a disposable cup. Additionally, I was spoken to very rudely when I asked to use the restroom, being told it's for customers only, despite clearly rushing.
This is particularly disappointing as I typically experience excellent service in the mornings at this store. While the food is typically excellent (rated 4/5), the recent service experience was quite negative (rated 1/5).
