Old Layout Missed, New Layout Too Close
I miss the old layout of the restaurant. The new layout has me feeling like I'm a foot away from the table next to me, making it impossible not to overhear other people's conversations. Despite the atmosphere concerns, the food and service were excellent, both receiving a 5-star rating.

Accommodating staff and amazing bruschetta
We visited my 90-year-old uncle in May. He uses a walker, and the staff was most accommodating and kind. The mushroom and pesto bruschetta is almost worth the flight alone from Chicago.
Unfortunately, he has since passed away, but honestly, the dinner and evening we spent in your restaurant meant so much to all of us. Thank you.

Authentic Italian Cuisine and Exceptional Experience
My experience at this restaurant was truly exceptional, on par with the authentic cuisine I enjoyed in Italy three months prior. We started with the burrata with fig and prosciutto antipasto, which was a delightful beginning. For our main courses, we selected two dinner special items that were expertly prepared.
To finish, we indulged in a dreamy, cloud-like tiramisu, a perfect end to the meal. The Pecorino white wine was an excellent pairing for our courses. The staff was incredibly accommodating, especially considering our yeast allergy, making us feel well taken care of.
This was an outstanding dinner that I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking for an authentic Italian dining experience.

Superb Lamb Shank, Worth the Wait
It was 7 p. M. On a Saturday night and I had a hankering for a lamb shank.
Spiazzo came up in my search, so I decided to head over and take a chance on getting a seat, even though the number was busy. I got lucky and found a parking space just a few doors down, and upon walking in, a table was immediately available. A few minutes later, the waitress came by and said, "Let me know if you have any questions.
" She then disappeared for about 15 minutes before returning to take my order. I ordered a glass of the Pinot noir, the mussels, and the lamb shank. The Pinot noir arrived first and tasted suspiciously like a Chianti, but it was good enough.
The mussels had a nice flavor. And then the lamb shank arrived. It was the best lamb shank I've ever had in my life.
Absolutely superb. Service was very friendly, even if a bit slow at first. Would definitely recommend.

Great Food, Minor Oil Issue
My experience at the restaurant was largely positive, centered around the food. I particularly loved the 15th century recipe creamy walnut risotto. However, I felt the dish could have been improved with a bit less oil.
Overall, the food quality was excellent.

Amazing Italian Food, Poor Lighting
My experience at this neighborhood Italian restaurant was overwhelmingly positive, especially regarding the food. I could not recommend it more. We enjoyed the minestrone, Caesar salad, and the lamb leg special.
The tiramisu was also a highlight. The lamb and tiramisu were particularly impressive. However, the lighting was a bit nauseating, which detracted from the overall atmosphere.

Interesting Bruschetta, Weird Service
My experience at the restaurant was a mixed bag. The pasta was pretty okay, but the bruschetta was interesting to say the least; I've never seen bruschetta like this before lol. The servers acted very weird.
The atmosphere was rated a 3, service a 1, and food a 2. The noise level was quiet, making it easy to talk.

Overpriced and Undercooked Garbage
My experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. The pasta was of quality of Olive Garden, which is to say it was overcooked and underseasoned garbage. I paid $130 for food I could have made for $30 at Safeway.
The Carbonara was a butter and bacon mess, and the Bolanesa was an overcooked, unflavored joke. The salad was a soggy disaster with Cisco dressing, and the bread was one of the saddest things to top it all off. The horrible quality of the food was the main issue.

Disappointing Specials, Proceed with Caution
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing, particularly with the specials. I would strongly advise against ordering the salmon or duck specials as they were very poorly cooked. Hopefully, other items on the menu are better.
