Disappointed by Closure
I am giving this review 1 star because I was unable to post a review at this time to be able to write. I am hoping to make it a 5-star experience in the future. I drove up from the peninsula this morning only to park and see a sign that the storefront is closed.
Please try to update your Google Maps hours. I am disappointed I was unable to try this place.

Worth the price for delicious croquetas
My experience at the restaurant was centered around their croquetas. While the Cuban mindset might struggle with paying $2. 50 for a single croqueta, I found them to be absolutely worth the price.

Authentic Cuban Flavors in San Francisco!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My experience at Social Cafe was fantastic! It's the best Cuban café in the Bay Area, finally capturing the authentic taste of Cuban food in San Francisco. The Cuban sandwich was perfect: pressed flat with crispy bread, not burned, and every bite was packed with meat, exactly as it should be.
The picadillo pastry was spot-on, and the croquetas were perfect. Although Paladar was my go-to for years, and I still miss chefs Rita and Vicki, Social Cafe, thanks to Terry and Ruben, has made me feel like my Cuban roots have a home again. Speaking in my Cuban language with them transported me back to friends and family.
San Francisco finally has Cuban food done right. Thank you, Social Cafe, for bringing back something we've all been missing. I highly recommend you come eat here—you won’t be disappointed!

Disappointing Cuban Sandwich Experience
This is a takeout joint with only outdoor seating available in the beating sun. I had to take my dry sandwich elsewhere to eat. Given the limited options nearby, I was initially hopeful seeing a 5-star rating and mentions of good prices.
However, paying $20 for a tiny coffee and a subpar Cuban sandwich was not a deal. The staff barely spoke to me. I wanted to like this place but was disappointed I stopped here.

Quick, Quality, Affordable Local Gem
Living just two blocks away, I've found a place that's consistently quick, high quality, and affordable. Terry is always super nice, and the croquettes are an absolute must-try. My only wish is that there were more seats available.
If there's any local food I'd feel homesick about, it would definitely be from here.

Best Cuban Sandwich Ever!
As someone from Miami, I can confidently say this is, hands down, the best Cuban sandwich I’ve ever had! The ham croqueta and cortadito were also absolutely incredible and so delicious. Everything tasted very fresh, and the staff was very friendly.
I definitely highly recommend this place and will be coming back soon!

Best Pastelitos Ever!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! I had the best pastelitos I've ever tasted. They are similar to empanadas but with a lighter pastry.
I sampled a variety of both sweet and savory pastelitos, and they were all incredibly tasty. I will definitely be returning!
