Good Sushi Spot, Will Return
My experience at this sushi spot was pretty good! I particularly enjoyed the crab and eel rolls, and the spicy mayo was also a highlight. The tuna roll was just okay. I would definitely go back for Friday night sushi!

Disappointing Chinese Food, Stick to Sushi
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing, particularly with their Chinese food. This was my second time trying their Chinese dishes, and both times have been very unsatisfactory. I would strongly advise steering clear of both the Walnut Shrimp and the Schezwan Shrimp. The flavors were significantly off, and the small shrimp were tasteless.

Inconsistent Service, Average Food
My experience at this restaurant was marked by a significant lack of attention from the staff. Upon entering, I was not acknowledged and had to wait until I eventually took a table myself. This issue was not isolated, as multiple other parties arrived and left without being seated. The food itself was acceptable, with the rolls being average and nothing special. This was consistent with my previous visit, as the experience was the same on both occasions.

Exceptional Sushi and Rich Flavors
My experience at this restaurant was outstanding! I had the best sushi I have ever had. The presentation was amazing, and the taste was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the sake aioli poke bowl, topped with fresh salmon, which is now a favorite. The fish fillet with black bean sauce was also incredible and rich in flavor. The service was good, with Oscar being exceptional, contributing to a positive environment. I will definitely be coming back.

Top Quality Chinese Food & Phenomenal Service!
My experience at this restaurant was exceptional. The food quality was top-notch; it was so delicious that even after ordering a ton of food, everything was great. The service was phenomenal, with the server being able to get us a table for 6 people right away, even though they were busy. I appreciated this because we were so hungry. I won’t forget this place; I can still taste the food thinking about it 😂.

Deceptive Beer Pricing
While a DJ was performing, I inquired about the price of beers from the man behind the bar, as there was no menu available. He stated they were $5 per beer for the night. I proceeded to order several beers for myself and my friends. Towards the end of the evening, I checked my bank statement and saw that each beer was charged at almost $11. When I spoke to the person working behind the sushi bar about this discrepancy, he simply shrugged his shoulders. This lack of accountability is what pissed me off the most.

Delicious Specialty Rolls!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic, particularly with their specialty rolls. I found them to be absolutely delicious, some of the best I've tried in a while. Our group enjoyed them so much that we obliterated each roll in under a minute. I would definitely come back to try their rolls again.

Terrible Food and Service
My experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. I ordered the orange chicken, which tasted like ketchup. The shrimp noodles were just 'mid, ' and I cannot recommend this dish. We paid $60 and left hungry, unable to stomach how bad the food was. Even the water tasted like sewer water. The overall food quality was a 1, and the service was also a 1. The atmosphere was rated a 2.

Hidden Gem with Excellent Service
I need a sushi fix in every city. Shisan is a hidden gem on the corner of J and 4th. In town for work and have eaten there 3x since my arrival. The staff is great, cordial, and attentive. Something a lot of places lack these days. I would highly recommend this to a friend.

Great Casual Sushi and Poki Bowls
As a local living just a few blocks away, Shisan Fan is my go-to sushi spot. It's hard to find affordable casual sushi in this area. I really enjoy the poki bowls, which offer the best bang for your buck. The rolls are all good, and even the Chinese food they serve is a great option for lunch. I've seen some reviews express dissatisfaction with the food, but I believe they should have spent twice as much at Lumi. Shisan Fan caters to the casual market with a smile and good service. I keep coming back because when I crave sushi, I want something decent and not overpriced, and Shisan Fan consistently delivers.
