Pizza Perfection: A True Sunset Gem
The name says ‘Hole in the Wall, ’ but the flavor says ‘Portal to Pizza Heaven. ’ I walked in thinking I was grabbing a quick slice, and next thing I knew, I was questioning every other life choice that didn’t involve this pizza. The crust was perfectly crispy with just enough chew.
The cheese was melted poetry, and the sauce was probably handcrafted by Italian grandmas who whisper affirmations into every tomato. The staff were friendly in that “we’ve seen some things, but we still love pizza” kind of way. Service was fast, slices were huge, and the vibe screamed late-night legend.
If you’re in the Sunset and skip this place, that’s between you and your conscience. 🍕🔥

Flavorful Hole in the Wall
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! It's a true "hole in the wall" that lives up to its name, offering a small space packed with incredible flavor. The atmosphere is chill with soft music and TVs showing sports, allowing for normal conversations.
I highly recommend trying the garlic butter wings, which were perfectly crisp yet moist. The garlic bread came with a thick marinara. We also enjoyed the chicken pesto, vegetarian, and pepperoni with sausage pizzas.
They have a great selection of beer on tap. I'd highly recommend a visit!

Excellent Service, Disappointing Salad
My experience at this restaurant was mostly positive, as the service and pizza slices were excellent, as always. I've been a returning customer, visiting with family and friends, and that's why I felt confident coming in for an early dinner. However, my experience with the salad was very disappointing, especially considering the price point.
I ordered a slice and a Caesar salad, but once I started tossing the salad to get to the greens, I realized it was completely drenched in dressing. It was far too much, which unfortunately ruined the dish. I'm hoping this was just an oversight, as I usually enjoy the food here.

Good, Reliable Pizza Delivery
My experience was very good. While there was nothing especially special about the meal, the garlic bread and cheese slice were exactly as expected. The delivery quality was good as well.

Great Pizza and Calzones, Fast Service!
My experience at this restaurant was very positive. I had the pizza by the slice and calzones, which were both very good 👍. The calzones were huge!
Despite a long line at 11 pm, it moved quickly, and everyone seemed satisfied. The seating area closes at 11 pm, which is good to know.

Miss the Old Irving Pizza
I used to frequent this location for pizza back in the 2000s when it was Irving Pizza. Unfortunately, the original owners moved on around 2019 or 2020, and this new establishment replaced it. I'm unsure if there was a split in ownership, but the branding and name seem to have stayed with Irving Pizza on Geary.
I even recognize some of the old workers who are now at the Geary location, and the branding and "waiter" design are present there too. The pizza here is just okay, and I truly miss the service and tasty pizza from the original Irving Pizza. Regardless of what this place claims, they were never Irving Pizza before and haven't been at 1925 Irving St for decades.
It feels disingenuous for them to try and leverage Irving Pizza's legacy.

Disappointing Pepperoni on Pizza
My experience with this pizza was not a good one. The pepperoni was part of a very dried out, overcooked, and not fresh piece. I am not happy with this pizza.

Solid Food, Chewy Dough
My experience at the restaurant was marked by solid food. The Mac n cheese was bomb, and the pizza was awesome, although the dough was too chewy. Overall, the food received a 4/5, service a 4/5, and atmosphere a 4/5.
