Seoul Zip - Reviews

Currently (February 2022), this spot only serves coffee drinks and no main dishes due to the owner's health. I had a latte and it was very foamy and creamy. I love this little spot and can't wait to come back here to try their Korean food!

I find it hard to understand how this restaurant maintains an average of over 3 stars. Perhaps my perspective is biased because I regularly enjoy home-cooked Korean meals, but I was left feeling very disappointed after my first visit. My sister and I ordered the dinner bowls, one spicy meat and one bulgogi. While the meat itself was decent, the portion was overwhelmingly rice with very little meat. It was particularly disappointing that there were no vegetables included, apart from jalapeños and a side of pickled radish, which made the meal feel quite incomplete. The rice was a mixture of cheese and mayo, and it honestly felt like eating balls of cheese, to the point where my sister and I felt unwell. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this as a Korean dining option when in Seattle.

My experience was with the bulgogi burrito, which I ordered via Ritual. The burrito itself was very good, offering excellent quality and quantity for the price. I also appreciated the free fruit water. I would definitely return if I needed lunch in the neighborhood.

However, I'm only giving it four stars because the health department's lowest ranking indicates a need for improvement in cleanliness. If they can address the cleanliness issues, this would easily be a 5-star establishment.

My experience at Seoul Zip was fantastic! This place is simply the bomb, offering inexpensive and fast service. The Bulgogi Bowl was out of this world. I highly recommend asking for extra kimchi right away, as you'll likely be craving more. The menu is very simple, and for good reason – they excel at making a few things GREAT! I almost missed Seoul Zip, but a fellow diner's enthusiastic enjoyment of his food, coupled with his assurance that "It's really good. I lived in Korea for over a year, I know, " convinced me to stay. I'm so glad I did! The prices also took me back to the 1990s.

My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The service was super fast, and the food was super yummy. I tried the Kimchi Bulgogi burrito, which was super large and delicious. For around $8, the quantity was superb. I do wish they would introduce more meat choices in the future. The ambience is cute, although the place is tiny. Located on 2nd Ave, this is a great Belltown lunch spot find!
