Value (4 out of 10)

mentioned by 26% of the guests

When it comes to value, theres a glimmer of hope, with one customer finding the price to be totally fair. However, with an overall score of just 4 (which is average) and a customer satisfaction of only 16.7% (which is poor), it seems this positive sentiment is quite rare. On the flip side, five other comments suggest a different story.

Many felt they were still being charged for extra money, with some noting the price isnt cheap at all, leading to an expensive meal. Specifically, a lunch around $17 felt overpriced for the quantity of food received.

Liked it, will return for more
I wanted to love it, but I really only liked it quite well. Either way, I’ll still be coming back because I did enjoy my meal. I thought the “sweet and spicy rice cakes” were just a translation for tok bokki. Note to self and you: not teok bok-ki. The rice cakes seemed air fried and the sweet and spicy sauce was drizzled on top. I was surprised, but enjoyed them a lot. I also had a tofu bowl which felt over priced ($16. 95) for the quantity of food in it. Still the quality and taste was better than ok and I loved that they had whole grain (black/purple) rice available. They greeted me the moment I walked in the door and were quite service-oriented. Eating area was spacious and very clean. Recommend. Sorry, was too hungry to remember to take a picture before eating 😂

Great Value with Customizable Options
My experience at this restaurant was largely positive, offering a super filling lunch with the flexibility to customize my meal. I really appreciated that I could get all the toppings I wanted for no extra charge, though the cheese fall and egg did cost extra. The service was very accommodating; I was able to sub rice for salad, request half and half proteins, and always ask for all the sauces without any hesitation. However, there was a minor issue when they were out of their regular bowls, and the shallower, smaller bowls were not ideal. Additionally, while I always request all the toppings, they often forget the potato, which I tried once and found to be like a cold potato salad. I believe the addition of a brown rice option would make this place perfect.

Disappointing Bulgogi Bowl, Great Service
I was excited to try the Seoul Bowl near my work, having loved the one on Capitol Hill. Unfortunately, my experience with the bulgogi beef bowl was almost inedible. The beef ranged from flavorless to sour, lacking the usual taste I'm accustomed to from the other location. Initially, I tried to overlook it, but the taste became so off-putting that it almost made me throw up, and I had to give up. Additionally, the hours are inconvenient. On a positive note, the service was great!

Terrible Food, Disappointing Experience
My experience at this restaurant was overwhelmingly negative. The food was seriously terrible and, at the same time, boring to eat. I struggled through the first few bites, and by the third, I felt like I wanted to vomit and throw the food away. The kimchi was also so sour and not fresh, and the ingredients were overcooked. Considering the price is not cheap at all, I expected much more. I was excited to bring my friends here, but we were all so disappointed with the food. The restaurant needs to live up to the price they charge.

Disappointing BBQ Chicken Bowl
My experience at this restaurant was quite disappointing. I tried the bbq chicken bowl, but the chicken was still pink inside and lacked any bbq flavoring. Due to this experience, I don’t think I will go here again.
