Cute Spot with GF/Vegan Options!
My experience at this restaurant was wonderful! It's just the cutest place in San Diego. They impressed me with their several GF + vegan options. It's also incredibly pet friendly; we saw at least 10 dogs during our visit.

Beautiful Setting, Good Food, Service Issues
My experience at the restaurant was a mix of positives and negatives. The seating was beautiful, and the service was great, fast, and friendly. Sadly, they were out of my favorite dish, the salmon benedict. I ordered the original benedict, and the poached eggs needed more cooking as the white was still runny. On the positive side, the orange juice tasted fresh, and the potatoes were amazing. The sitting and view have always been great, and the place is very clean.

Disappointing First Visit
I visited this restaurant for the first time based on recommendations from other reviews, but sadly, I was disappointed. The chicken sandwich was overwhelmed with pesto, making it the only flavor I could taste. The Mediterranean salad lacked any flavor and was very bland. Considering the price, I expected a much better experience, but it wasn't worth it. As a side note, the default tip of 22% is quite high.

Flies are a persistent issue
My experience at this restaurant was unfortunately marred by the persistent presence of flies. While I understand the proximity to fish markets and their associated trash can be a challenge, it's a recurring problem. Even with the table-top contraptions featuring spinning blades to deter them, the flies are still present. This is not a developing country, and I believe more should be done to address the fly issue.

Great GF Options and Friendly Service!
My experience at this restaurant was great, with great food. As someone who is Celiac, I was impressed by the abundance of options for GF, Vegan, Vegetarian, and regular diets. The staff seemed knowledgeable about allergies and were helpful in guiding my ordering. The patio is dog friendly, and they even offer menu items for our canine companions. I will definitely return when I'm in the area.

Mixed Experience: Good Starters, Bland Main
My experience at the restaurant had its ups and downs. The two appetizers were good, setting a positive start. However, the main dish was disappointing, described as dry and bland. Specifically, the tofu lacked any seasoning or flavor, and the bowl had little dressing or flavor. On the service front, it was a bit slow due to being understaffed, but the staff themselves were friendly and helpful, even bringing multiple dressings to try and liven up the dull entree.

Great Vibes and Banging Food!
While waiting for my meal, I enjoyed the delightful view at the front window bar. The energies are uplifting, and the food is banging on the tongue piece. The server was taking orders and delivering all the meals by herself, the only person working on a Sunday! She did fantastic. Thank you for the great vibes, eats, and Pacific Beach treats!

Great Atmosphere and Flavorful Curry
This was my second visit to the restaurant. I ordered the Thai green curry with quinoa and chicken, which had a nice flavor and seemed to be made with quality ingredients. The atmosphere was really great, especially with the nice open-air patio concept.

Delicious and Healthy Brunch!
My experience at this restaurant was absolutely wonderful! I had a fantastic brunch, and the food was incredibly fresh, delicious, and healthy. I particularly enjoyed the avocado toast, and the pickled carrots on top were truly incredible. The ginger kombucha was also a great touch. As a vegetarian, I appreciated that they accommodated my request for extra protein by providing a side of tofu. I’ll definitely be back!

Great Neighborhood Spot for Everyone
Second Nature has become our go-to for easy neighborhood date nights when we have a few hours to spare. It's a fantastic choice because both my vegan diet and my husband's non-vegan preferences are well-catered for, with plenty of options for both of us. I've even brought our toddler for brunch, and they were incredibly accommodating, happily customizing a toast to her liking. The patio is always lively with dogs, and we prefer sitting outside. While I'd appreciate more outdoor heaters, it's a minor point that doesn't detract from the experience; we've learned to dress in layers. We're so happy to live just down the street!
