After spending the morning Slingshoting nonconformists out in the panhandle with One Eyed Jack and his son Little Peeper, we walked up Haight to Sandy's for one of those world famous sandwiches. Probably the most underrated sandwich joint in the city! 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆

I stopped by on a whim and I’m so glad I did—it ended up being the best decision of my week. The woman at the counter was warm and welcoming, and she helped me choose their classic muffaletta and a chocolate chip cookie. The sandwich was fantastic—perfectly balanced flavors and just the right proportions. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

My experience at Sandy's was a craving fulfilled! I really enjoyed the combo meal, which included a 1/4 muffuletta, 8oz herby slaw, and a bag of chips. It was a wonderful lunch, though admittedly on the heavier side, which is expected. The herby slaw was particularly delicious and fresh, with a balanced sweetness. It featured parsley, chives, and dill in a mustard dressing, and I found it to be superb with the sandwich. The staff were nice, and the ordering process was at the counter with self-bussing of tables.

I’m mid-sandwich and had to stop to write this review. The pimento cheese is TOP-TIER. I grew up in the South and since moving to the city a decade ago, I haven’t missed much food-wise, except pimento cheese. I cannot overstate how thrilled I am to have found this spot. The pimento cheese has a little kick, the texture is perfect, and the pimento/bread ratio on the sandwich was spot on. I did remove the okra because the pimento cheese is so perfect that it doesn't need anything extra. No notes. 10/10.

The whole place was a little small, but the vibe of it was so good. They were also very kind to me and my mom. The muffaletta sandwich was good, but I wasn't a big fan of the meat.

Just an FYI - be aware that the prices on the wall menu may differ from what you’re being charged. For example, the Egg salad & chips combo was listed as $9 on the wall menu but charged at $10 on the receipt. The employees were not aware of this discrepancy. When it was brought to their attention, there was no attempt to remedy this false advertisement. I wonder how many other guests have been incorrectly charged.

My mom and I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. We shared the pickled egg sandwich and the mushroom muffuletta, which were both incredibly delicious and offered unique flavors. We also enjoyed a cookie that was perfectly baked, with a crisp exterior and a soft, gooey center. We are eager to return and try the watermelon salad next!

Yum. My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The flavors were unique and mouth-watering. I particularly enjoyed the Tomato Sandy, which featured the thickest, best slices of heirloom tomatoes and an incredible wild sauce. The sitting space was beautiful, complemented by great music. The vegetarian options were highly recommended, with a dedicated vegetarian menu or section available. The atmosphere, service, and food all received a perfect 5-star rating.

As a local, this is my go-to spot for a great sandwich and a bit of people watching on Haight St. The atmosphere and service were both rated a 5, and the food also received a 5. I highly recommend the Classic Muffuletta, and they have a vegetarian menu or section with vegetarian offerings that are highly recommended. The wait time was non-existent, and the price per person is between $20–30.

My experience at Sandy's was nothing short of life-changingly divine. If Peterson's friendly attitude doesn't charm you, the sandwiches certainly will blow your mind! I really appreciated the short menu and the small list of seasonal rotating items. Even though I'm not typically an egg salad person, their egg salad was insanely addictive – fair warning!
