Delicious Food and Attentive Staff!
I had been eyeing this place for a while and am so glad I finally came in. My partner and I visited last night and were incredibly impressed with the delicious food. The vegetarian options, specifically the hen of the woods and corn risotto, were the stars of the show for us.
I also tried the lamb, and it was divine. All the staff were very attentive. This place draws a packed house, even later in the evening, and I can see why.
We will definitely be back.

Delicious Family-Style Dining Experience
My experience at this restaurant was very good. I wished we had more people with us because it’s best for eating family style. The corn risotto highlighted the corn more than the rice and was gooey with cheddar cheese.
I also liked my beet close NA cocktail and the artichoke pepper pave, which is sliced potatoes smushed together in a square shape and tastes like a tater tot. Make a reservation!

Classic SF Spot with Artful Food
My experience at this classic SF spot was wonderful. The space is lofty with beautiful wood built-ins and a great bar, contributing to a 10/10 atmosphere. The food is artful yet understated, feeling special and well-thought-out, a testament to the creative chefs.
Despite being a walk-in for three on a busy Friday, we were seated within 15 minutes. The hostess was very cheerful with great energy, making the spot feel friendly and inviting. I don't think you could ever go wrong here.

Incredible Sushi, Great Service!
My experience at this restaurant was wonderful. The Sushi was absolutely incredible, hands down one of the best dishes I've ever had. The Lamb was okay, not the best but good.
The Service was great, and the people were very careful with my celiac, ensuring I had no reaction from eating there. The Atmosphere was also rated highly.

Exquisite Plates and Ambiance
My experience at the restaurant was delightful. The vibe was just right, from the marble tables and tiny fresh flower decor to the jazzy light sounds in the backdrop. The plates were exquisite!
I would highly recommend, just be sure to not mistake the Chenin Blanc Sparkling for the white.

French Cuisine Disappointment
My experience at Routier was a significant disappointment. The food was far from authentic French cuisine, with a rating of 2 out of 5. While the service was excellent, receiving a perfect 5 out of 5, it couldn't compensate for the culinary shortcomings.
The atmosphere was rated a 3 out of 5, and the noise level was moderate. Finding parking was difficult, and the parking garage was paid.

Obnoxious Restrictions and Terrible Reservation System
My experience at this restaurant was marred by several obnoxious restrictions, including limited dining time, obligatory tipping, and ridiculous cancellation rules. The reservation system, RESY, was particularly frustrating, requiring multiple steps and a confirmation code that disappeared quickly. I encountered issues with my phone number being already in use and my valid emails not being recognized.
I eventually managed to make a reservation using my husband's phone, only to face further troubles when I decided to cancel. The service was a significant letdown due to these cumbersome processes.

Hidden Gem with Perfected Dishes
I’ve eaten here twice now, and both times I walked out thinking it was the best meal I’ve had in SF. Routier is absolutely a hidden gem. Every dish we have tried has been perfected.
The presentation, service, cocktails and atmosphere are all outstanding. We can’t wait to keep coming back!

Special Birthday Dinner with Unique Food
I celebrated my birthday dinner here and it was a lovely experience. The restaurant thoughtfully remembered my special occasion with a cute card at the table and a candle with our dessert. The food quality and uniqueness were special, and the ambiance offered a charming mix of old-world feel with a modern flair.
It's a nice place to dine for a variety of occasions.

Routier: A Gem with Standout Hanger Steak
My experience at Routier was absolutely remarkable. The food, plating presentation, service, ambiance, lighting, and bathroom cleanliness were all top-notch. While I enjoyed both the summer squash (zucchini) appetizer and the chocolate mousse, the hanger steak main was the undeniable star of the show.
I highly recommend the Roasted Hanger Beef! It's incredibly tender and drenched in a rich, savory sauce, truly worthy of Michelin recognition. I'm very excited to visit again to try more dishes for a more thorough review.
