Good food, poor service experience
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. The food was nice, earning a 4 out of 5. However, the service was quite disappointing, rated at 2 out of 5.
During restaurant week, our server seemed to lose track of our meal's progress, which led to a delay as a dish had to be remade. To make matters worse, as soon as the bill was presented, we were asked to leave because another party was waiting for the table. The atmosphere was pleasant, rated 4 out of 5.

Amazing Indian Food & Service!
My experience at this restaurant was absolutely fantastic! I absolutely love their modern spin on beloved Indian dishes. I brought a few friends here who had never tried Indian food before, and they instantly became fans of the cuisine and flavors.
The Pav bhaji, Dahi puri, and wild mushroom dosa were unlike anything I had experienced before. Their naans, curries, and kulchas were all very delicious. However, the Garlic & Chili chutney was truly the star on our table.
The service was also incredible, as you'd expect.

Outstanding Food, Service, and Ambiance
My experience at Rooh was outstanding, all around. The food, service, and ambiance were all impressive. We've visited this restaurant a few times and enjoyed it each time.
If you appreciate unique flavor combinations, Rooh will certainly please your palate. Last night, we savored the Dahi Puri, Butter Chicken Kulcha, Potato Tiki, and Crispy Okra. To complement our meal, we opted for the Mumbai Chai; I highly recommend at least one person at the table orders it for its spectacular presentation.
As a chai enthusiast, it's also my favorite drink. Be aware that on a Monday night, there was a wait at the door. Being a party of two, we were able to walk in and seat ourselves at the bar, but it's advisable to ask the host first.
For larger parties, I recommend making a reservation. It was a fabulous evening, always special.

Perfect Diwali Lunch with Great Service
My experience at the restaurant was a simple but perfect Diwali lunch. The jackfruit taco was highly recommended and truly delicious. The background music perfectly captured the festive Diwali vibe.
Our server, Pooja, was incredibly friendly and attentive, and she patiently answered all our questions. The overall atmosphere was rated 4, service 5, and food 4.

Absolutely Phenomenal Michelin-Worthy Experience
My experience at this restaurant was truly amazing. I had the Seabass, and my husband enjoyed the leg of lamb. We started with a mushroom appetizer that was out of this world.
The desserts were phenomenal, unlike anything I've ever tasted. This felt like a Michelin restaurant; I was incredibly impressed. I haven't had a meal this good in ages.
The service, atmosphere, and food were all rated a perfect 5.

Indian Food Ruined by Sugar
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing due to the excessive use of sugar in their Indian dishes. The chef seems unable to prepare authentic Indian cuisine without making everything overly sweet. It felt like a sham in the name of Indian cuisine.

Impressive Indian Food Experience
My experience at this restaurant was exceptional. I found it to be one of my favorite spots in San Francisco. While I typically consider Indian food a staple rather than a special occasion choice, this place is perfect for impressing out-of-town guests.
The foodie quality was outstanding, and I was amazed by how incredible Indian cuisine could be. I also appreciated the decor, the service was on point, and the cocktails were excellent.

Best Indian Food Experience!
My experience at this restaurant was exceptional, offering what I believe to be the best Indian food I've ever had. While I haven't yet visited India, the taste, presentation, and staff here are truly on another level. The vegetarian options were incredible, and I highly recommend trying the tacos!
Puja provided amazing recommendations. The atmosphere, service, and food all received a perfect 5/5 rating. The noise level was quiet, making it easy to converse.

Disappointing Fine Dining Experience
We were looking for a fine dine and top quality Indian food joint for a special occasion with family. We tried several small plates, and were surprised by the small portion sizes. The Pav Bhaji had only 4 pieces of pav, which were very small, and the Aloo tikis were just 2 pieces, also quite small.
For the main course, the Naan was very poor and not properly baked, leading us to return it for a replacement. While the paneer pin wheel and Veg Kofta themselves were good, the curry was very average. Out of all the dishes, the Pav Bhaji's Bhaji and the Saffron rice stood out.
We spent $160 for 4 people without tips, which felt pricey for the size and taste of the food.
