Closed Again, Disappointing Visit
Sadly, I found the restaurant boarded up yesterday afternoon. I had previously read some reviews indicating they were renovating, then closed a few months ago ☹️, and then someone mentioned they were open again 😃. However, upon my visit yesterday, they were closed 😩.
As a fellow business owner, I understand that delays and unforeseen issues can happen, sometimes requiring another closure right after renovations. I plan to try again next year during my next visit to SF. I kindly request that you please update your business hours on Google if you are temporarily closed.
This is important, especially for solo female travelers like myself. I had walked from my Union Square hotel to your location, and the condition of the neighborhood, including some people screaming, was startling 🥺. Finding you closed left me concerned, as I had hoped for a safe haven to duck into.
I had to turn around and walk back past some agitated individuals. By the way, when I return next year, please consider having Lamb Korma and Lamb Rogan Josh on your menu; those are my very favorite comfort foods 🥰.

Incredibly Kind and Inexpensive Gem!
I honestly have to say this is one of the best places I've ever been. They're super inexpensive. I was homeless and used to come here a lot when I was able to with my service animal, and they treated me with such kindness and generosity.
I moved away two years ago but will be moving back, and this will be the first restaurant I go and visit when I move back at the end of April 2024! Super excited to see the new renovations!

Disappointing Portions for the Price
My experience at the restaurant was absolutely disappointing. I ordered the chicken Tika combo and was served less than 2 ounces of chicken. The portions were terrible for the price I paid.

Delicious Food, Phenomenal Service, Small Portions
My experience at this restaurant was largely positive, with the food being the absolute star. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala meal and Chicken Tikka Boti, served with rice and garlic naan. The flavors were outstanding, a solid 5/5 across the board.
The garlic naan was particularly memorable – the best I've ever had, perfectly cooked with just the right amount of garlic and puffiness. Dipping it into the sauces, lentils, and Raita was a highlight. The Chicken Tikka Boti also had a great taste and was presented beautifully on a sizzling skillet, complementing the overall nice food presentation and atmosphere.
The service was phenomenal. My only critique is regarding the portion sizes; you get little chicken for the cost. Even without considering the price, I wished the standard portion was a bit larger because the food was SO GOOD.
I would 100% come back. A heads-up for soda drinkers: it's served in cans.

Tasty Tikka Masala, Pricey Rice
My experience at the restaurant was centered around their chicken tikka masala, which I found to be very tasty. I enjoyed it so much that I visited twice in a single week specifically for this dish. However, I found the pricing of the rice to be strange, as it was a separate side order costing $4.
Without the rice, the tikka masala would essentially be just chicken pieces in sauce.

Amazing Chicken Tikka Masala!
My experience at the restaurant was fantastic, especially with their Chicken Tikka Masala. It's a MUST try! I've never had any CTM that wasn't too oily, and the sauce was rich, thick, and creamy.
The consistency was perfect for me.

Best Chicken Tikka Masala Ever!
My experience at the restaurant was centered around their chicken tikka masala. I can confidently say it was the best CTM I've ever had. The sauce was notably thick and not watered down, unlike other places I've tried.
The flavor was rich and enjoyable without being overwhelming.
