Sichuan Flavors Missed the Mark
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. While the service was commendable, receiving a perfect score, the food unfortunately didn't meet my expectations, scoring a 2 out of 5. The flavors were notably blander than one would expect with sichuan cuisine, especially considering the pricing.
The grandma potatoes, which were overhyped, offered very little in terms of flavor. Additionally, parking in the area was a bit challenging. For vegetarians, I would not recommend this place.

Authentic Chinese Food Lost
As a Chinese person, I found the food here to be terrible. For Americans who haven't experienced authentic Chinese cuisine, they might mistakenly believe this is what Chinese food is like. The restaurant isn't adapting flavors for American tastes; they are completely losing the spirit of Chinese food.
All meat dishes taste terrible.

Neighborhood Gem with Outstanding Service
As a long-time customer, I'm finally reviewing this neighborhood gem that I frequently bring friends to. The service is consistently outstanding, always making me feel welcome, even with strict dietary needs like celiac disease. They offer a fun selection of drinks and a number of dishes that are consistently great.
I highly recommend their mapo tofu, cucumbers, chickpea curd, and grandma potatoes – you can't go wrong!

Mediocre Sichuan, Great Service
My experience at this restaurant was mixed. While the service and staff were great, the food was disappointing. The food was mediocre and did not resemble actual Sichuan cuisine.
The only dish that offered a hint of classic Sichuan numbing peppercorn flavor was the Dan Dan noodles, and even then, it was a very faint taste. I also fell a bit sick the next day, which I suspect was due to the food. Nothing else was satisfactory, with the exception of the Chrysanthemum salad.
However, the staff were good, and the service was prompt.

Delicious Noodles and Well-Made Small Plates
We loved Plenty of Clouds! Don't let the concise menu fool you; there are plenty of options available. I regret not taking photos of the food, but I did capture my perfectly-balanced and well-appointed martini.
Our group of 7-8 people ordered about 15 items from various parts of the menu, including meat and vegetarian options, and each dish was very well made. The balance of spice (slightly toned down, but adjustable) and textures was excellent, layered over solid flavors. The noodles were a real treat; whether fresh or not, the noodle dishes we tried were excellent, with at least three being very good.
Among the small plates, the cucumbers were my favorite. For large plates, it was a toss-up between the pork belly and the "dry fried chicken, too many chilies. " From the Rice & Noodles section, the dan dan was the best.

Disappointing Food and High Prices
My experience at this restaurant was quite disappointing. The food tasted bad; the pork was dry, and the vegetables lacked flavor. Even the dan dan noodles were under-seasoned compared to their usual taste.
To make matters worse, the prices were higher than typical Chinese restaurants where the food is actually good, and the portions were significantly smaller. I will not be returning, as it felt like a waste of money.

Expensive and Off-Seasoned Meal
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing, primarily due to the high cost of the food relative to its quality. We ordered the twice-cooked pork belly, grandma's mashed potatoes, Chinese greens, and dan dan noodles. Unfortunately, the seasoning on everything except the potatoes felt off, and the pork belly was overcooked.
The price was quite high for what we received, and the overall food quality did not meet expectations.

Disappointing Asian Flavors
My experience at the restaurant was quite disappointing. While the drinks were great and strong, the food did not live up to expectations. I ordered the dumpling, black pepper beef short rib, and twice-cooked pork.
The pork dumpling was good, but it lacked any authentic Sichuan flavors. The other dishes, unfortunately, had a generic "Asian" flavor, which was very disappointing.

Disappointing Food, High Hopes
I was really excited to try this place, but unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. I ordered takeout, specifically the Dry Fried Chicken and the Burning Noodles. The Burning Noodles were just okay.
However, the Dry Fried Chicken was not spicy at all and completely tasteless, which is definitely not what I expect from Sichuan food. I'm very curious how this place maintains a 4. 5-star rating.
Additionally, the portions are small for the price. *** I transferred the noodles to Tupperware.
