Amazing Food, Terrible Service
My experience at this restaurant was a tale of two halves. The food was truly amazing, earning a perfect score. However, the service was the worst I've experienced in years.
It took over an hour to receive soup, and tables seated after us received the same soup and finished their meals while we were still waiting. To make matters worse, dishes didn't arrive together, meaning we all ate at different times. This was my first visit, and unfortunately, I won't be returning.

Excellent for Special Occasions
My experience at this classic Seattle restaurant was excellent. My wife and I chose to celebrate her birthday here, and we were both very pleased with the quality of the food and the service from the staff. I highly recommend making a reservation, as they were not accepting walk-ins when we arrived.
The Braised Short Rib, though not pictured, was the absolute star of the show. Overall, if you're seeking a nice restaurant for a special occasion or an elevated meal in Pike Place, Place Pigalle is a great option to consider.

Disappointing Food, Overpriced Meal
My experience at this restaurant was marked by a charming interior and nice views. The servers were kind, but unfortunately lacked attentiveness, even with only three tables occupied. I was very disappointed with the food during a recent late afternoon lunch.
The best items we tried were the saffron chowder and the baguette with butter. However, the mussels were dreadful, clearly past their freshness and overcooked, with a sauce that tasted of low tide. The gravlax wasn't much better.
While I suspect other dishes might have been better, as a local, I'm stunned that so many restaurants in this city, despite the abundance of fresh seafood, fail to deliver quality. It was extremely overpriced for the quality and service received.

Excellent Food, Service, and Atmosphere!
We absolutely loved our experience at this restaurant! The atmosphere was fantastic, the food was delicious, and the service was exceptional. As residents of Seattle, we will definitely be returning.
The service we received was the best we've experienced at any restaurant; our server, a young man with a mustache and earrings, wearing a white button-up shirt, was truly lovely! Thank you for a wonderful dinner.

A Seattle Hidden Gem for Special Occasions
This restaurant is truly a HIDDEN GEM! As someone born and raised in Seattle, this is absolutely my favorite restaurant to go to for special occasions, or even "just because". My partner and I have been here for New Year's Eve, our anniversary, my birthday, etc.
And it's always a hit EVERY SINGLE TIME. Their service is just as impeccable as their food. The baguette is so fresh and tasty.
I always order the oysters, and their cocktails are delicious as well. Do yourself a favor and eat at Place Pigalle.

A Delicious Secret Hideaway
First of all, the atmosphere is cozy and unique. There are only a handful of tables which offer an intimate and personal experience. We started off with some cheese and oysters and couldn’t be happier with the recommendations from our waitress regarding wine pairings.
Our food was quick and genuinely, I’ve experienced only a handful of fine dining experiences, so I am always prepared for a smaller portion size for a large ticket, but our entrees couldn’t be farther from the expectation. Not only were they decent serving sizes that left us feeling full and satisfied, but they were absolutely delicious. I couldn’t recommend the bouillabaisse and cod enough, they were fantastic.
I struggled to finish my plate! It was prepared beautifully, we will definitely will be back. Loved this little secret hideaway in the market.
The views were incredible, food was delectable, and of course the company was perfect.

Amazing Mussels and French Onion Soup!
My experience at this lovely little restaurant overlooking the water was fantastic. The steamed mussels were absolutely amazing, described as juicy and packed with bacon, shallots, and balsamic. I would return just for this dish alone.
The French onion soup was also divine; I recommend getting the cup size as it's quite generous and perfectly done, with a rich, cheesy, and oniony flavor. The staff were super sweet, and the location was nice. Overall, a five-star experience.

Great Food, Poor Service for Solo Diners
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. The food was absolutely great! It's my favorite restaurant.
However, the service was a significant letdown. If you go alone, especially during busy times, you might get completely ignored, treated like a ghost! Despite the service issues, I still recommend it for the overall vibe, wine selection, view, and of course, the can't-miss food.

Mixed Experience: Delicious Soup, Tough Steak, Poor Service
My experience at this restaurant involved a simple meal of onion soup and a steak sandwich. The onion soup was delicious. However, the steak in the sandwich was thick and difficult to bite off, and the baguette was also very tough.
The service was a significant issue; our waiter avoided our table and seemed incompetent from the start. Water was not refilled, and items took a very long time to arrive. In a particularly odd moment, when I requested more sugar, he took away the artificial sweetener my friend needed.
Towards the end of the meal, a female server stepped in and was wonderful. Despite the service challenges, we ultimately had a wonderful meal.

Wonderful Lunch with Great Service and View
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic, especially for lunch. Finding the place was a bit of an adventure, but the service was incredibly nice, making the effort worthwhile. The food was absolutely awesome, and the view out the window was lovely, enhanced by the beautiful day.
Overall, a great spot for a meal.
