Disappointing Pies, Okay Experience
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. I ordered a piece of banana cream pie and a cookies and cream pie. The banana cream pie was served as a liquid pile of slop, which we returned.
The cookies and cream pie was delivered as a peanut butter and cream pie. While structurally sound and adequate, it wasn't what I ordered, though I ate it anyway. Mistakes happen, but serving that banana pile of disappointment was baffling.
The individual who served us was nice about it, though. Overall, a well-prepared piece was okay, but expensive. I might try elsewhere next time.

Disappointing Pie Change
Like August’s review, I too ordered the cookies and cream pie tonight and am so confused by it. It used to be a white pie with cookie chunks in it, but I received a nondescript tasting brown pie that just tastes like whipped cream, with chocolate sauce and cookies thrown on top. This is totally different from the cookies and cream slices I have had in the past from here and is really disappointing for the price.
I'm not sure what’s going on at this place; the counter they prepared it on also was pretty dirty.

Incorrect Pie Received, Disappointing Experience
I was disappointed to receive the incorrect slice of pie. I ordered the Cookies and Creme pie but received what appeared to be a creme pie with chocolate syrup and some cookie toppings. Upon cross-referencing with the photo, it was very different from what was listed.
The pie was missing whipped cream, I'm unsure if chocolate syrup was a standard topping, and the creme pie itself contained no cookie. My guess is that it was a chocolate pie. Whatever it was, it was disappointing, especially considering the price point.

Disappointing Pies and Difficult Entrance
It was difficult to find the restaurant's entrance as it was not clearly marked. I ordered a slice of beef pie and a slice of chicken pie. The chicken pie was unrecognizable as pie; it was just a mound of crumbled crust with chicken gravy mush.
While the crust was good, that's where the positives ended. The beef pie was even worse, lacking flavor, and the beef chunks were the size of boxed carrots and peas. The server was friendly and provided plenty of attention.
However, despite the friendly conversation, we will not be returning.

Expensive Pie, Upset Stomach
My experience was disappointing. I found the pie to be expensive, and the cookies and cream pie was not stored in the fridge. This led to me feeling quite upset stomach.
Paying $15 for a slice was definitely a shock.

Shocking Experience at Pie Bar
As a first-time customer looking for a chicken pot pie, I was directed to Pie Bar by Google. Upon arrival, the staff member behind the counter seemed disengaged. The pies were not labeled, and to my astonishment, the staff member took a bite out of a pie to confirm it was chicken pot pie before selling it to me for $40.
Despite my shock, I needed the pie and was short on time. I paid $40 and left with an unboxed pie, as the staff member stated they had no boxes for to-go orders. Upon bringing the pie home, my family agreed it was awful.
We found humor in the entire experience and will not be returning. For context, purchasing by the slice costs $15, which would make an unsliced $40 pie equivalent to $90. I took a photo of the pie after the staff member took a forkful to taste it.
I believe I should have received at least a $5 discount, given that part of the pie was consumed by the staff.

Different Pie Bar, Not the Capitol Hill One
This Pie Bar is completely unrelated to the one in Capitol Hill. It has different ownership and products. The Cap Hill location is a great bar with a great owner and staff.

Family beliefs clash with restaurant protest
My family and I found this restaurant unsuitable due to our beliefs. There was a protest out front, and concerns were raised about the restaurant not paying employees fair wages, with suggestions of paying under the table.

Disappointing New Location Quality
I loved going to the Ballard location and was really excited to see a new location open in Phinney. However, the overall quality of the pies and drinks has been much worse at this location. Last time, they also charged our credit card a higher price than what they verbally stated it to be.
It's a bummer, but I'll be looking elsewhere for dessert in the future and can't recommend it for others.

Extremely Wasted Server, Bad Drinks
My experience at this restaurant was marred by a server who was obviously and extremely wasted. She struggled to string a sentence together and blamed the slow service and bad drinks on a trainee. This was despite us witnessing her pour alcohol from our drinks for herself before serving them, resulting in drinks that were only about 80% full.
The overall service was extremely poor due to the server's condition.
