Outstanding Food, Even Better Than Sessions
My experience at this restaurant was outstanding. We used to go to Sessions, which was good, but this place is even better. The food quality is exceptional, and the overall experience surpasses our previous favorite.
It's a definite step up in dining quality.

Ignored at the bar, unprofessional response
My lunch experience on October 2, 2025, around 12: 30 PM, was extremely disappointing. We sat at the bar and were completely ignored the entire time. Our plates were not cleared, our water was not refilled, and no one checked on us.
While other tables received great service, we felt as though we didn’t exist. My subsequent email to the restaurant resulted in a generic and unprofessional reply from the Assistant Manager, showing no accountability and no real intention to improve. This experience reflects a significant lack of staff training and management standards.
I honestly can’t believe this restaurant has any staff training or a manager who actually does their job.

Piccino's West Side Gem
I was so excited that Piccino opened a new location on the west side of the city! It’s just as good as the original. We had a great dinner when my mom was in town visiting.
The pastas and drinks are always sublime. Also, the flower arrangement on the bar that night was so artistic and beautiful — I think they said the owner made it! So cool.

Cozy outdoor dining with great food
My experience at the restaurant was wonderful. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the indoor space was very clean. We chose to dine outdoors, and I was impressed to see that heaters were installed on the ceiling for the comfort of the guests.
We enjoyed our meal while feeling the warmth. The food was also delicious!

Delicious Italian, New Go-To Spot!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! I found the food to be delicious, fresh, and seasonal, truly some of the best Italian I've had in SF. They also source their ingredients from local farms, which is a great touch.
It was the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring the Presidio. This has become a new go-to spot for me!

Hidden Surcharge is a Scam
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing due to a significant hidden charge. While the food was great, there was a $20 hidden surcharge on every order. This felt like a full-on scam.
I would advise others not to patronize this place.

Disappointing Experience, Overpriced Food
My experience at this restaurant was terribly disappointing. Coming from the authentic food scene in LA, I found the food to be mediocre, even the pizza was sub par. To add to the disappointment, we were overcharged for an appetizer.
Overall, the experience did not meet expectations.

Great Food, Steep Price Tag
My experience at Piccino was a mixed bag. The food was great, as many San Francisco restaurants are, but it came with a hefty price tag. I was dining with three other people, and our total bill, including tip, was around $230.
We only had water, one pizza, two pasta dishes, and two appetizers. While I understand that prices can be high these days, spending that much for a few bowls of pasta and a pizza felt excessive.

Beautiful space, delicious food, great service!
My experience at this restaurant was wonderful. The service was great, and the space was beautiful, adorned with fresh wildflowers arranged by the owner in locally made pottery. The food was delicious and nicely presented.

Outstanding Flavors and Atmosphere at Piccino Presidio
My experience at Piccino Presidio was absolutely wonderful! I began with the heirloom tomato salad, which was a delightful start. It featured tuna tonnato, caper relish, and sourdough croutons, and it was bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors and beautifully balanced textures.
For my main course, I enjoyed the braised lamb ragù, which was equally impressive – rich, savory, and perfectly comforting. The quality and taste of every dish were outstanding, and the attention to detail was evident in each bite. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone seeking thoughtfully prepared, delicious food in an upscale hip setting.
The service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was fantastic.
