Mixed Bag: Great Dishes, Mediocre Ones
My experience at the restaurant was a mix of highs and lows. The service was good, and the atmosphere was pleasant. I particularly enjoyed the tuna, potatoes, arancini, and the agnolotti, which were all very good.
However, the focaccia, ragu, and the salmon were quite mid, not living up to expectations.

Exceptional Dining Experience with Accommodating Service
My experience at this restaurant was truly wonderful. We made a reservation a few weeks in advance, and it was absolutely worth it. The restaurant boasts a beautiful interior design, creating a warm and elegant atmosphere perfect for a relaxed evening.
We enjoyed a variety of dishes, including three pasta dishes, chop ribs, and a bottle of wine. While every dish was delicious, the pasta truly stood out. As someone with a dairy sensitivity, I was incredibly impressed by the staff's kindness and accommodation; they prepared an amazing dairy-free gnocchi with tomato sauce for me.
They also thoughtfully served cheese on the side for other pasta dishes, allowing everyone to enjoy them. The halibut was another favorite, cooked perfectly and bursting with flavor. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience characterized by thoughtful service, amazing food, and a beautiful atmosphere.
I highly recommend it!

Exceptional Event Hosting at Penny Roma
My experience at Penny Roma was truly outstanding, especially when we chose to host a small gathering in their event space. The trendy vibe, outstanding food, and exceptional service were evident throughout. Mac, the director of hospitality, went above and beyond, guiding us through all options and helping us customize our event to perfectly match our vision.
The team at Penny Roma absolutely deserves recognition for their efforts.

Fresh Pasta, Small Portions, Okay Wine
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. I really enjoyed sitting in the shop and watching the pasta being made fresh by hand — such a nice touch and definitely adds to the experience. The dishes themselves were delicious, though the portions ran on the smaller side.
I tried a few of the wine pairings by the glass, but they were just okay and didn’t stand out. The menu is also a bit limited. Overall, I’d say it’s slightly overhyped, but still a tasty spot worth trying if you’re in the mood for fresh pasta.

Delicious Food, Wonderful Experience
My experience at the restaurant was fantastic! I absolutely loved the food. The himachi and salmon appetisers were great.
The pasta with pepper and cheese, though simple in description, was made exceptionally well. To top it off, the tiramisu dessert was wonderful. The service and atmosphere were also perfect, both receiving a 5-star rating.

Pretentious and Underwhelming Experience
My experience at this restaurant was pretentious and underwhelming. We had heard it was a great place, but the food was disappointing and mediocre across all courses. The wait staff highly recommended the caprese salad, but it was not good.
The Cacio y Pepe, Tortellini a la Norma, and chicken dishes were all very bland and of weak quality. Even the Sangiovese Chianti tasted cheap. The desserts, including the olive oil cake and tiramisu, were also not good.
The clientele seemed to be yuppie tech workers. While the decor was decent, the place lacked character and inspiration in its dishes.

Char-grilled Chicken Delight
My experience at this restaurant was quite positive, particularly with the food. I'm usually not a fan of chicken, but the chicken here was exceptionally good, boasting a delicious char-grilled taste. The price point was around $120 per person, excluding drinks.
Reservations are recommended, and while parking can be somewhat difficult to find, the indoor dining area offers a pleasant atmosphere and excellent service, both rated 5 out of 5.

Disappointing Pasta and Salty Sauces
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. I should have known better than to eat pasta outside of my own kitchen or NY/NJ. The pasta had a weirdly and unpleasantly hard texture, not in a good al dente or even undercooked way.
To add insult to injury, all the seafood dishes tasted fishy. The sauces, which might have had decent flavor, were insanely salty. Additionally, the tax is calculated including a surcharge that feels like a way to avoid raising prices or paying living wages.
This fee is higher here (6. 5%) than at other restaurants on this block, let alone most of the rest of the city.
