Paprika: A Cozy Comfort Food Gem
My experience at Paprika was like stepping into a brick-and-mortar embodiment of comfort food. The atmosphere was incredibly welcoming, cozy, and warm. The chicken paprikash was everything one would expect: a strong paprika flavor, tender chicken, and fresh spring onion.
The toasted bread served with butter was also delicious. I would love to come back and try their goulash!

Consistently Satisfying and Genuine Experience
My experience at this restaurant has consistently been one of complete satisfaction. It's not a fancy place, but it offers honest, tasty food that stays true to itself. The service is genuinely friendly, making it a must-visit whenever I'm in town.
I'm grateful they are still in business!

Great Hungarian Comfort Food and Beer
My experience at this local spot was fantastic for enjoying Hungarian comfort food and crisp beers. If you plan on having more than a couple of drinks, this is the place to come for a true liter and get bang for your buck. The cheese and meat boards were consistently great, and both of the “paprika dishes” were super yummy.
The sausages here are prepared better than at a certain sausage purveyor nearby.

Pleasantly Surprised by Hungarian Goulash
I always passed by this place when getting off BART and never thought to come in. Finally, I got to try it and was so pleasantly surprised by the food. It was my first time having Hungarian cuisine, but not my first time having goulash.
I ordered the chicken goulash and subbed mash potatoes with the gnocchi. Hands down, it was the best goulash I ever had; I can easily say I was “lost in the sauce. ” The chicken was incredibly tender as well.
My Asian self only wishes I had some rice to soak up all that goodness (they do give bread, but I’m a rice gal), and now I want the sauce recipe so I can throw everything I can find in there. The atmosphere was rated a 4, and the service was a perfect 5.

Surreal Hungarian Flavors and Delightful Wine
My experience at this restaurant was absolutely amazing. My dining partner and I, who often make goulash and paprikash at home, found the food here to be surreal. I enjoyed the chicken paprikash, and my partner had the vegan goulash.
Both dishes featured robust and complex flavors, complemented by a creamy side dish of potatoes. The Hungarian wine was delightful, and our server expertly assisted us in finding a good pairing for our meal. We will absolutely come again and bring friends and family.

Great Vegetarian Options and Live Music
I was pleasantly surprised by the number of vegetarian options available on the menu. The vegetarian goulash was a standout, managing to be both light and filling. The restaurant also featured live music, which added a wonderful ambiance to the dining experience.

Delicious Food and Great Service!
My experience at the restaurant was fantastic! I had the vegetarian goulash, and my friends enjoyed the 2 sausages (german and swedish) and the chicken paprikash. We all cleaned 100% of our plates, which speaks volumes about how delish the food was.
The waiter was great too. I would definitely eat here again!

Cozy Comfort Food & Nostalgic Soda
My experience at this unassuming little restaurant was wonderful. The food was excellent, particularly the Szeged Goulash, which reminded me of my Oma's cooking. The imported Spezi soda was a delightful surprise, and the entire meal made me feel like a kid again.
I'm definitely returning for a cozy dinner of comfort food.
