Solid Italian in the Financial District
My experience at this Italian restaurant in the Financial District was positive. It's a great spot for local business people, and not many tourists seem to find their way here. It gets quite busy during lunch and after work.
The happy hour offered decent food discounts on small plates. The food was rated a 5, service was a 5, and the atmosphere was also a 5. For vegetarians, it's highly recommended with a dedicated vegetarian menu or section.
Parking can be somewhat difficult to find, but there is a paid parking lot available. The price per person is in the range of $30–50, and there was no wait time.

Excellent Spanish Food and Service
We came from Spain and arrived at Palio. A place that is totally recommended for its friendliness and excellent food. The octopus was delicious and the Fettuccine Alfredo spectacular.
Without a doubt, an experience to repeat. Highly recommended!

Superb Italian with Great Service
My experience at this traditional, old-style Italian restaurant was superb. The service was excellent, and the food had an excellent taste. Prices were also reasonable.
I had a great conversation with the server, who was well-traveled and well-read. I certainly recommend this place!

A Gem with Amazing Carpaccio!
My experience at Palio was exceptional. The carpaccio was absolutely amazing — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere felt both elegant and welcoming.

Great Happy Hour Bite at Palio
I stopped into Palio for a Happy Hour bite and drink on a Tuesday. The pizza was very good, and I enjoyed the House Red. Given that there were only two other people in the restaurant, the service was obviously very quick and attentive.
I had absolutely no complaints.

Excellent Italian Food and Ambiance
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! It's a great spot for both a romantic dinner and a big family gathering. The space is spacious and stylish, creating a wonderful atmosphere.
I can confidently say it serves the best Italian food in the city. We visit often and consistently love the delicious bites and the great service. Its convenient location near North Beach, Chinatown, and Columbus St. makes it an ideal choice for exploring the area.

Exceptional Meal and Service!
My experience at this restaurant was truly exceptional. I had the best meal I've had in San Francisco. The panna cotta was outstanding, as was the pasta and the bread.
It's clear that no shortcuts were taken, and the ingredients were of high quality. Our server was great, and even the bathroom smelled good. I highly recommend this place.

Disappointing Food, Excellent Service
My experience at this Italian restaurant was a mixed bag. While the service was excellent, the food was a significant letdown. I found the pasta to be tasteless, the pizza to be like cardboard, and the chicken to be rubbery and thick.
I expected much more from an Italian establishment, especially one located in the boondocks. The excellent service, however, could not compensate for the lack of a proper chef.
