Overcharged and Slow Service
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. I was overcharged compared to the listed menu prices, which was confirmed by a picture of my receipt showing the discrepancy. When I pointed this out to the server, she was unhelpful and just said she would "let them know. " The food was described as "so so, " and the service was slow, even during non-busy periods. I would advise looking elsewhere for a meal.

Disappointing Lion King Roll Experience
I'm generally not a picky eater, but my experience with the Lion King roll was extremely unpleasant; I could barely take one bite without gagging. I was surprised to receive a baked California roll completely smothered in orange mayonnaise, both inside and out. The roll lacked any other discernible flavor besides cooked mayonnaise, and neither the photo nor the description on the menu indicated it would be 90% mayo. I'm giving 3 stars because the staff did comp the roll, which I appreciated. However, even after confirming I ordered correctly, the server insisted I should have known what I was ordering. I don't see how I could have possibly anticipated ordering a log of orange mayonnaise based on the menu's photo and description.

Excellent Value and Fresh Sushi
My experience at this restaurant started as an emergency late-night nosh, but it turned out to be an excellent value for the money. They clearly cut no corners: the edamame with garlic was fresh, showing no signs of having come directly from the freezer. I'm pretty sure the wasabi was real, not horseradish dyed green, and the ginger was not dyed pink or cloyingly sweet. The sushi itself was fresh and well-prepared. Even though I'm just in town for fun, I would make a second trip here, even on a short visit.

Fresh Fish, Flawed Rice
My experience at Oma Sushi was a mixed bag. The fish was undeniably fresh, presenting with a clean, bright quality that's essential for good sushi. The wait staff were also a highlight, described as engaging and attentive, truly on point. However, the rice was where the experience fell short. It lacked the desired bite, was a bit flat, and I personally prefer it warm to properly complement the fish. Sushi relies on balance, and when the rice isn't up to par, the entire dish suffers. It was a solid effort overall, but not quite perfect.

Delicious Food and Great Atmosphere
Right across from the Hilton Hotel, we came here after visiting Chinatown. The atmosphere was wonderful with nice music, and the friendly staff made the meal even more enjoyable. Visiting from Austin, Texas, we were delighted to find such delicious food. And to top it off, knowing the owner is Korean made it taste even better!
