Amazing Omakase in Japan Town Mall
My experience was an amazing omakase experience. It's a small and intimate spot, with no actual restaurant space, just the sushi bar at the end of the Japan Town mall. It's reservation only, with two seatings per night.

Amazing Birthday Experience!
My boyfriend took me here for my birthday and it was the best experience ever! The chef makes EVERYTHING from scratch, even soy sauce and vinegar, and was so friendly and told us about his experiences growing up in HK and Japan. The food was soooo delicious!
Warning, it is a random shop out in the open in a mall, but I think it adds to the charm, just like in Japan where they have omakase in the subway stations ☺️☺️☺️☺️ Will be back!

Amazing Food and Spectacular Service!
My experience at this restaurant was absolutely AMAZING. The fish choices were extensive and each offered a unique element. The head chef is incredibly knowledgeable and skillful; he's truly amazing.
The service was spectacular. It's been a while since I've written a review or felt so happy after a meal. I highly recommend trying it out – trust me!
I opted for the large set, and it was so worth it.

Interesting Flavors, Uneven Execution
My experience at this restaurant was a mix of delightful discoveries and some notable disappointments. The chef was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, which immediately set a positive tone. The ingredients were of high-quality, and I appreciated the consistency across most dishes, with beautiful presentation throughout.
The sushi, in particular, was really good, with the fish prepared perfectly. However, some of the non-sushi dishes fell a bit flat. The eggplant dish in the Sakura set was the lowest point of the night, though thankfully, the experience improved significantly afterward.
I was impressed by the eclectic fish choices; instead of the expected salmon or yellowtail, I was served fish I had never eaten before, and I personally loved this unique approach. All of these unfamiliar fish were delicious. On the downside, the atmosphere was a significant detractor.
The bar is located at the back wall of a mall with no front wall, making it feel very cold and exposed, with people constantly walking by or staring. This led me to deduct points for atmosphere.

Bad service, awkward atmosphere
I don't often leave reviews, but my experience at this restaurant was quite negative. The service was bad, and the chefs projected a very off-putting, almost rude energy. This created an overall atmosphere that was non-enjoyable.

Fantastic food, poor setting
The food was fantastic. However, I'm giving it one star less due to the environment. It's located right at the entrance of the mall, which isn't the best setup for a romantic date night, in my opinion.

Intensely Good Omakase Experience
My experience at the restaurant was reminiscent of the vibe from 'Jiro Dreams of Sushi'. The Omakase was intensely good. I will without a doubt be coming back!

Mediocre Sushi with Unpleasant Surprises
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. I don't understand the positive reviews, as the couple next to me also praised the food, which I found hard to believe. The sushi was mediocre, with rice that was too soft and fell apart easily, making it difficult to eat.
A surprising amount of the fish had a char from a blow torch that masked its flavor and added an off-putting bitterness. This lacked the attention to detail expected of an omakase meal. The sushi was often sloppily presented, with one piece falling apart and being mushed back together by the chef, which didn't fix it.
Furthermore, one of the sushi chefs was a mess, with a dirty shirt that was off-putting. I've never been served by someone looking so unkempt at a sushi counter.

Delicious Omakase with Minor Rice Issues
My experience at this restaurant was a delightful omakase journey. The food was exceptional, with standouts including the smoked salmon with shiso flowers, quail egg, and seaweed, the light layered butter cookie with matcha ice cream, and the slightly charred sea bream sushi. The wasabi served with the sashimi was refreshing and pleasantly salty, and I loved the condiment.
I left the meal feeling super full. On the downside, the sushi rice was a little too mushy for my preference, and I'm not a fan of gold leaf on my food, personally preferring more fish. The service received a score of 3, and the atmosphere a 2, with moderate noise.
The price per person was $100+.
