Oggi's Pizza Express - Reviews

I usually love this place, but the customer service today, 10/27/25 at 2: 20 pm, was not good. The girl working was so rude. She wasn’t smiling at anybody and didn’t speak a word when people asked for a plate, a water cup, or ranch. She just gave me a mean look when I asked for ranch, and I genuinely have no idea why.

Although the restaurant was clean (the only reason for the 2 stars), the food was gross. I'm pretty upset about eating here. Make sure to save your money and avoid this place at all costs. The pizza was uncooked, the toppings weren't fresh, and what pizza place doesn't know how to slice a pizza correctly? Never eating here again.

I’ve been coming to Oggi’s since this fall semester started and always appreciated the value and consistency. But today I was shocked to be charged $9. 99 for a salad that used to cost $3. 99. My usual order, which used to total around $15. 08, came out to $21. 72. That’s a steep and sudden increase with no explanation or noticeable change in quality. This is extremely disappointing, an increase of $6 to a salad with no reason, a ridiculous price for a salad. This equals to an increase of 150. 38%.

This place is a great spot to grab a bite on campus, and it's a nice bonus that it's connected to the bowling alley. For the most part, the food is really good, especially for a gluten-free student. I highly recommend the gluten-free crust; it's delicious. However, I did notice a change in the cauliflower crust a few weeks into the semester; it became very airy and often seemed undercooked, so I wouldn't recommend it anymore. The service here can be hit or miss. While the management seems friendly, some of the student workers are honestly rude, though I must admit some are also really great. A couple of things that need addressing: when handling allergy orders, workers change gloves but don't wash their hands first, which is a crucial step regardless of an allergy. I've also seen a student wearing many bracelets, one of which dragged in the sauce, which is a bit unsanitary. Despite these issues, none of it is the worst I've ever encountered, and I still feel comfortable eating here. Another point is that the pizza is often assembled very sloppily, with ingredients just piled on. I also asked for light pepperoni and received a pizza almost completely covered in it. Considering it's on a college campus, the prices are a bit outrageous, but the food is typically really good.

I witnessed what I perceived as lazy performance from the workers, especially considering how simple it is to prepare a pizza. Additionally, the lack of hats worn by staff raised concerns about unsanitary conditions. The line had not moved for 10 minutes, which is unacceptable. The food itself was just ok.

My experience at this restaurant was extremely negative due to the staff's behavior and the overall atmosphere. I waited 25 minutes to close out my bill, and the bartender blatantly ignored me while engaging in conversations with other patrons. When I finally got their attention after being patient, I felt taken advantage of. I urge management to check the cameras from the day this review was written, as I guarantee the staff's account will differ from what is shown. If they cannot be mature and responsible, consider replacing them with more compassionate staff. I will not return for the "Anti-social behavior scene! " Get back to me when this is resolved fairly, and I will change this review. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE AUTISTIC/NEURO-DIVERGENT! They were also preparing to close over an hour before their stated closing time of 8 pm, with people commenting on them getting away with it. 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😥😥😥😰😰😰!

I'm editing my review to reflect a more nuanced experience. While I found that college students are not the best employees, the employees who are not students are pretty awesome. The managers and bartenders were way cooler! For good service, I recommend ordering directly at the bar. The general employees seemed to suck, with a line of people and staff too busy with themselves.

My experience ordering a pizza via QR code from the bowling alley was disappointing. The QR code system, which is supposed to be easy and fast, failed to deliver. The pizza arrived after 45 minutes and was room temperature, suggesting it had been sitting out. Additionally, the order requested napkins, which were not provided. I wish there was a way to get a refund for my tip as the workers didn’t deserve it. The pizza itself wasn't terrible, just cold; I suspect it would be quite good if served hot. Order #15051.

My experience at this restaurant was overwhelmingly negative. I would have given zero stars if possible. The pizza was mediocre and overpriced, and I only went because it's one of the closest food options on campus. The service was consistently rude and incredibly slow, taking forever 99% of the time. To make matters worse, they frequently close before their displayed hours, often when employees think they can get away with it. I was even told they were closed by a woman who was actively making a pizza right in front of me, which was absurd.

My experience at this restaurant was quite positive. The pizza was pretty darn good! I was able to get a quick sip of what's on tap, though I fell short of my PhD in Beerology. It's definitely a must try. The fact that the bowling alley was right next to it was a plus, and it's also kid-friendly.
