NY Garden - Reviews

I called to order a sandwich for pickup, and was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. However, when I arrived 20 minutes later, the staff member, who barely spoke English, had not made my sandwich. I had to wait for it to be prepared, despite being the only customer. To add to the disappointment, the sandwich was very small and cost $14, which I found to be not worth it.

My experience at NY Garden Deli was driven by the desire to use my Amex Hilton card's quarterly $60 benefit before it expired. I found this spot on Reddit, and it was confirmed to work with the credit. Located conveniently along the side of the Hilton Garden Inn Del Mar, GPS made it easy to find the small deli. Just as other reviews mention, the ladies working there are incredibly friendly and helpful. I ordered the Philly Steak and Italian subs, which were freshly prepared in about ten minutes. Both sandwiches were delicious; while I might have slightly preferred the Philly, the Italian was also very good. I'll definitely return when I'm in town and might try the Ahi Tuna Salad next time. They also offer breakfast items, soft drinks, beer, wine, desserts, and sweets. It's a great way to get some tasty subs using the Amex Hilton card credit, but remember they close at 1 pm.

I recently had a perfect Teriyaki Bowl experience! The ingredients were high quality, and the service was on point. I will most definitely be back. Thanks again for a great experience!

My experience at NY Garden Deli and Cafe today was great. I arrived without ordering ahead of time and ordered the Italian sandwich at the counter. I was in and out in a short amount of time, less than ten minutes. Everything about this trip was as I had hoped. Thank you.

My experience at the restaurant was disappointing due to an inaccurate menu. I specifically drove here for the pressed Reuben, but they did not have it. While I acknowledge these are 'first-world problems, ' it was still a letdown.

I happened upon this cafe and deli because they, unlike the place up the street, do make eggs to order for their breakfast sandwich. I had the turkey sausage and egg breakfast croissant with scrambled eggs. The croissant sandwich was very good. The eggs were light and fluffy and well seasoned. The turkey sausage was tasty, but I wish they would have put either two patties or a larger one to encompass the croissant well, as there was just one small patty off to the side. The cheese was well melted, and I liked the way they toasted and pressed the butter croissant. The service was very good and quite friendly. I do recommend this little place if you are staying at the Hilton Garden Inn or live nearby. They offer only outside seating on a nice patio.

We are in LOVE and truly obsessed with this delicious breakfast and lunch place located just outside the Hilton Garden Inn. The food has been mouthwatering, and it truly deserves a crowd daily. We've enjoyed breakfast here for the last few mornings, and everything has been the best food we've ever had. The cute little outdoor patio is perfect, especially with the amazing San Diego weather. The service is fantastic, and everyone is so friendly. We are currently enjoying the avocado toast and the English muffin sandwich, and we can confidently say this is the best food we have ever eaten. Their smoothies are also great. We are super sad to leave and will definitely be coming back to this hidden San Diego gem. If you are staying at the Hilton Garden Inn, this is absolutely where you should be eating breakfast. They also have delicious options for lunch. You won't be sorry if you come here!

My experience at this restaurant was very positive. The service was friendly, and the area was clean. The food prices were reasonable, and the sandwiches were hot and prepared on-site. They offer a pretty of drinks to choose from, including soda pops and can beer. Each apple and bananas are $1. Outside tables are available to dine in, and there's a safe parking lot.

As a hard-to-please sandwich eater, I can confidently say that the folks at NY Garden Deli and Cafe nailed it. I ordered the corned beef with cheese on a baguette, and it was executed like champs, showcasing lots of seasoned experience in sandwich-making. This was more than just a positive first impression; it was a really great sandwich lunch. I will definitely be heading back for a follow-up review.
