My experience at the restaurant was good. I'd recommend getting there early or making a reservation for the low tables, but anywhere you sit should be fine. The vegetarian options were plentiful, with Spanakopita, pasta, and salad available. While I'd somewhat recommend vegetarian options, the restaurant offers a large vegetarian selection. The service was rated a 5, and the atmosphere was also a 5. The food received a 5. The noise level was quiet, making it easy to talk. Parking was free street parking, and there was no wait. The meal type was dinner, and the price per person was between $30–50.

My experience at this Greek restaurant offered a lovely ambiance and a solid variety of options, including salads, pasta, burgers, and wraps. I tried the chicken wrap, but unfortunately, it tasted rather bland and didn’t stand out. The service was just okay—neither exceptional nor poor. On the bright side, the setting is quite pleasant and makes for a nice dining atmosphere. Overall, it’s an average spot; I hope they improve flavor and variety in the future.

My experience at the restaurant was mixed. The pasta was delicious, but unfortunately, there was too much kale in it. Despite this, I would come back and try different options on the menu.

I walked in with no reservation on a Thursday night and was pleased to find there was no wait. We were seated in a nice, intimate booth for 2. The vibe isn't overly fancy, and the low lighting creates a very cozy feel. Our server was incredibly attentive, and the food was delicious, with some very good pasta dishes served. Both indoor and outdoor seating are available.

I celebrated my birthday with my youngest son at NOVY in San Francisco's Noe Valley neighborhood. We were fortunate to get a table without a reservation, though I'll remember to book ahead next time. We sat at the counter and enjoyed a great meal. I ordered the Lamb Gyro with a Pilsner, and my son had their Pesto Pasta. The restaurant was busy but not too loud, allowing for easy conversation. My gyro was served in a fresh pita with thinly sliced roasted leg of lamb, lettuce, tomato, grilled onion, and tzatziki sauce, accompanied by garlic fries. My son enjoyed his pasta, topped with fresh shaved Parmesan. For dessert, we shared the Galaktoboureko, a phyllo pastry with semolina custard, huckleberry compote, and almonds. It was perfectly sweet and ideal for sharing after a filling meal. I look forward to returning to try other dishes. Parking in Noe Valley can be challenging; we parked a few blocks away and enjoyed a walk down 24th Street with its interesting shops.

This is a great place to stop by after a stressful day of work. I came straight from work, and the staff could tell I was having a tough day. A few minutes later, I had a glass of wine on one side and great appetizers on the other, thanks to some kind recommendations by the host. My worries were all gone! The amazing staff, fantastic food, and super conveniently located setting made for a wonderful experience. Everything on their menu is super good. Some days, I have their appetizers as my main course; their meatballs and octopus are my favorites. I’ve tried so much of their menu, from calamari salads to the Athenian pasta with salmon. Their bread pudding with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream is a must-have indulgence. It's best to have reservations for parties greater than 2 as they are popular and can get busy, but I’ve always been accommodated immediately or had a small wait when going solo. I love this place.

This was our first time visiting Novy, and we were impressed by the nice vibe and beautiful interior. We were warmly greeted by the hostess, Angela, who was both welcoming and attentive. Our server, Ellen, was equally kind, providing excellent and timely service. The food was incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious. We started with the pita bread and olive appetizer with cheese, which was a fantastic way to begin the meal, leaving us eager for more. For our entrees, we enjoyed the moussaka, lamb bolognese, and a calamari salad. We finished with a phyllo custard and berry dessert, which was the perfect ending. We will definitely be returning soon.

I used to hate salads, but NŌVY has completely changed my mind. I can eat every single salad on their menu and would happily lick the plate clean! I'm not sure how they achieve it, but the food is incredibly fresh. The sangria is delicious, especially on a hot day. I also tried the Galaktoboreko (spell check? !) and it was so good! Normally, I'm not someone who tries new things and prefers to keep it simple, so a name like galaktoboreko would typically be a hard pass for me. However, my server, Hannah/Heather (sorry, I forgot her name!), described it so well that I decided to try it, and I have no regrets. My go-to order will forever be the Horiatiki salad with a sangria and galaktoboreko to finish lol.

This is a great place to take your friends for lunch! I had a wonderful experience with delicious food and great wait staff. Hannah, my server, was particularly lovely and had great knowledge of the menu. As someone who is gluten-free, I found this to be easily the most gluten-free friendly restaurant in San Francisco, with almost everything on the menu adaptable. Even my dog loves it here, always wanting to stop when we pass by, and he has many doggie pals who also frequent the place. Overall, it's a great friendly restaurant and a neighborhood staple.

I’ve been coming to Novy for years! My experience has been consistently positive, especially with my favorite server, Hannah. I always request to be in her section because she has the best recommendations and is always so attentive. The food is delicious, and they offer a beautiful outdoor seating area, which is perfect for my dog and me.
