For a moment, I felt like I was sitting in my grandparents' kitchen, gobbling down their food. The atmosphere at Noeteca is uniquely inviting, intriguing, and rustic. The menu, at first glance, looks simple, but before you know it, you discover a wide variety of food options and specials.
You don't come here looking for a fancy dining experience; you come here because you want to feel like home and get good home-cooked food that is nicely balanced and brings joy to your taste buds. We tried their endive salad, chicken Cordon Bleu, and their special of the day, the ribs. I really enjoyed the salad, the endives' bitterness with the slight hint of gorgonzola on a very light vinaigrette dressing – lovely!
The chicken Gordon Blue was tender and juicy, and the garlic rice with a side salad complemented it very well, balancing the dish. The ribs were yummy, coming right off the bone, and the dry rub made them pleasant to eat with your hands. The yucca, black bean sauce, rice, and salad made for a hearty yet not heavy dish.
I really enjoyed this place and the lively conversation with the owner. Well done, guys!
