Great Breakfast with Prompt Service
My experience at this restaurant for breakfast was very positive. It seemed to be a popular spot for business professionals to meet before work. The service was prompt, and I found the decor to be lovely.
I enjoyed an omelet, while my husband had a lox bagel. Overall, the food, coffee, and atmosphere were great!

A Classic San Francisco Dining Gem
My experience at The Nob Hill Club was absolutely wonderful. The decor is uniquely luxurious yet comfortable, creating a relaxing and refined atmosphere. We enjoyed a perfect view of California Street from the large windows, a truly classic San Francisco moment.
While both breakfast and lunch were great, lunch was particularly memorable. The grilled octopus with chorizo was flavorful and perfectly cooked, the steak was juicy and tender, and the salad was super fresh and beautifully plated. Everything was well-seasoned and thoughtfully presented.
The service was lovely throughout – warm, attentive, and unhurried. It felt like a hidden gem within a historic hotel, and I would definitely return, whether staying at the Mark Hopkins or just in the neighborhood.

Excellent Breakfast with Friendly Service
This review is limited to breakfast only! I had a friendly staff experience and was seated immediately. The staff were kind and helpful, especially with my mobility limitation.
The place wasn't busy at all at 7: 30 am on a Wednesday, making it calm and quiet, which was easy to talk in. They offered nice, solid choices of breakfast selections. My order was served quickly within a few minutes.
The dishes were good and tasty, fresh and cooked to order. There was no buffet. The pricing was common for luxury hotels, not surprising but not exaggerated either.
Unfortunately, I was in a rush for an appointment and would have loved to spend more time and enjoy. I will definitely come back and definitely recommend this place! P.
S. The Nob Hill Club also hosts the Club Intercontinental, which unfortunately deserves a different rating. I believe this is a topic for IC management and shouldn't penalize the Nob Hill Club.
Bonus: if you stay on a Club rate or are a high status IHG member, the cooked-to-order breakfast is included.

Overpriced and Poor Service
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. The food was overpriced and poorly prepared. The waiter seemed to be actively trying to push the most expensive items on the menu, which felt like a tactic to increase the bill.
The service and atmosphere were rated low, with food being the lowest.

Disappointing Steak, Not Worth the Price
My experience at this restaurant was quite disappointing, particularly with the food. I ordered the steak and fries, and unfortunately, it was not up to par. The first time I ordered it, the steak was overcooked.
This time, it was again slightly overcooked. The quality of the meat itself was questionable; you could tell by its texture and color that it wasn't good. Considering the price of $70, I found it to be absolutely not worth it.

Overpriced Breakfast with Good Service
My experience at the restaurant involved having the marks classic, which included 2 eggs, potatoes, one piece of bread, and undercooked bacon. I also ordered an OJ and coffee. The total bill came to $46.
While I understand it's a nice hotel, I felt price gouged for what was offered. On the positive side, the service was good and the ambience was pleasant, which is why I ultimately gave it 3/5 stars.

Delicious Food and Great Drinks
Located right across from the Fairmont at the top of California Street, at the corner of Mason and California, this restaurant offers a delightful dining experience. I found the Cobb salad to be delicious, and the margarita pizza was equally impressive. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the great Riesling, and I savored a Heineken.
The overall experience was very positive, with high marks for food, atmosphere, and service.

Solid Food, Great Ambiance, High Price
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. The food was solid, with both dishes tasting fresh and well-seasoned. I particularly enjoyed the SMOKED SALMON BAGEL and the MARK'S CLASSIC BREAKFAST.
The service was attentive, and the restaurant ambience was great, fitting perfectly within the historic Mark Hopkins hotel. However, the value was nowhere to be found. Our bill for two people for breakfast came out to close to over $90 (including food, tax, and service charge).
We only dined here due to a complimentary breakfast welcome amenity as a Diamond Elite IHG member.
