Best Korean Restaurant Experience!
I had the best Korean restaurant experience! I enjoyed the soul food galbi and sundubu just like in Korea. The galbi was piled high and delicious, and I loved mixing it with the sundubu and eating it with rice.
The kimchi and side dishes tasted authentic, making me feel like I was truly in a Korean restaurant. After the meal, having sungnyung to settle my stomach felt like reaching paradise. It was truly the best Korean restaurant!
The portion size of the galbi was even more generous than at Korean restaurants in Korea. 👍

Authentic Korean Gem with Amazing Banchan
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! It's a solid place for Korean food, and everything we ordered tasted great with generous portions. The Galbi was particularly tender and juicy.
Of course, the tofu soup is a staple here that you shouldn't miss. However, the steal of the show was the banchan, especially the fish cakes – they were warm, thick, and flavorful! I also appreciated the hospitality of the hosts; they were attentive and helpful.
This is definitely one of the authentic Korean restaurants I'm willing to come back to in SF.

Comforting Korean Comfort Food
My Tofu House is a reliable spot for Korean comfort food. The soondubu (soft tofu stew) is exceptional, offering rich flavor and customizable spice levels and add-ins. The banchan (side dishes) are fresh and plentiful, and the sizzling stone-pot rice provides a perfect crispy layer.
The atmosphere is casual and lively, with quick service and generous portions. It's a definite go-to for a warm, satisfying meal.

Excellent Service and Delicious Food!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! What stood out most was their service. The staff were incredibly great and attentive, constantly refilling water and asking if we needed anything else, even offering more banchan.
The food was also to my liking, with flavors that were not too salty and spicy, perfect for my sensitive stomach. We enjoyed a variety of dishes including potsticker soup, seafood soup, seafood pancake, kalbi beef, and bbq chicken. My husband particularly enjoyed the fried fish in the banchan and the barbecue chicken with rice.
The noise level was just right, allowing for a comfortable and enjoyable conversation with our visiting friends. We will definitely be back soon.

Comforting Korean Meal with Delicious Banchan
My experience at this restaurant was incredibly comforting. I love that they serve delicious banchan, rice made fresh in a stonepot, and even prepare nurungji at the end of the meal 😍. The Oi Muchim and fried fish banchan are my favorites.
Their stews are served boiling hot with the most amazing silken tofu. The bibimbap is loaded with healthy vegetables, the BBQ plates are steaming with piles of juicy marinated meats, and their thick crispy pancakes are stuffed with goodies.

Disappointing Service Experience
Around 7: 50 PM today, I witnessed the behavior of a female waitress towards a delivery person who came to pick up an order. I couldn't believe my eyes. I don't understand how people with such character become waitresses.
It seems they are very polite to the people sitting inside, but they view those coming to pick up packages as low-profile – inferior. I cannot approve of this hypocrisy in any staff member. Professionalism: 0.
I would not recommend this place to anyone.

A Nostalgic Taste of Home
This place holds a special place in my heart. I love their classic soon tofu and the nunungi, which they do so well. It feels like home, and I'm definitely biased as I've been coming here my whole life.
While it might not be the absolute best Korean food or soon tofu, you always know what you're going to get, and I appreciate that consistency. My Beli gave it a 7. 5, but I'd rate it an 8.
5 because I prefer it over many more expensive or fancy options. It's a truly nostalgic experience for me.

Great Soft Tofu Soup!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! It's our go-to Korean spot when we crave suundobu. The soft tofu soup was incredibly delicious.
We also found the service to be excellent, and the food was top-notch. The atmosphere was also very pleasant. We had a short wait, but it was well worth it for the quality of the meal.

Exceptional Staff, Bland Food
My experience at this restaurant was a mix of highs and lows. The staff were exceptional, and the atmosphere was great, earning a 5-star rating for both. However, the food was pretty bland and not exceptional, which was really disappointing.
I really wanted to like this place, having heard great things about it and loving soondubu. I ordered the combination soondubu (beef+seafood) at medium spiciness, but it wasn't spicy at all and the stew had no flavor other than the clams from the seafood. The same applies to the banchan: also pretty bland.
On the positive side, the portions were generous. I'd be willing to come again to support the staff, but I wouldn't get the soondubu.

Underwhelming Korean Experience
My experience at this restaurant was quite underwhelming. The banchan selection was basic, and I couldn’t taste any flavor in any of it. The kimchi needed more sweetness.
The soondubu was the best dish, but I would still rate it as 3/5. The seafood pancake could have been significantly better if it had been salted; dipping it in soy sauce is not the same. The price is quite high for the quality of food.
Additionally, there is no alcohol served here.
