Delicious Hotpot with Great Value
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! We arrived around 7 pm and only had to wait 5-10 minutes for a table, which was great, though I noticed longer waits for groups arriving after 8 pm. The sukiyaki soup base was the best, and I'd recommend it for everyone.
The mushroom broth wasn't as enjoyable. For sides, the tiger shrimp, fish balls, and shrimp balls were good, but the fish balls were our favorite. We opted for the Classic standard package with three meats, choosing the three halal options.
The Australian and Wagyu beef were the standout meats; I wouldn't order the lamb again. While the general advice is to cook meats for 10-15 seconds, we found that cooking the lamb for 1. 5 minutes and the beef until the fat melts (1-2 minutes) improved the taste.
I encourage experimenting with cooking times! The best dips were the sweet soy sauce, spicy sauces, and chili oil, with the mushroom sauce being decent. Between the Udon and Ramen noodles, I'd choose Udon every time and order multiple portions.
We ordered the classic package as two people and were almost too full to finish, so I'd recommend going with a group of at least three. You can even take the leftover broth home, as it tastes amazing! Most importantly, have fun and enjoy your meal!

Overpriced with Average Taste
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. I found the place to be overpriced. A basic meal cost $33, and adding anything extra, like $6 for lettuce, felt super expensive.
I can buy two large heads of lettuce from the supermarket for that price! The taste of the food was average, and it was not worth the hype, unfortunately. I believe you can find better options elsewhere.

Consistently Good Mid-Range Hot Pot
We visit MUMU about once a week and consistently have a great experience. The staff is excellent, keeping the place clean and well-run. There's a palpable sense of camaraderie among the team, creating a kind and easy energy from the moment we walk in.
I particularly appreciate their thoroughness in cleaning the stove after each table. The ingredients are always fresh and beautifully presented, with crisp vegetables and thinly sliced meat that feels exceptionally clean. MUMU strikes a perfect balance; it's not an overly fancy hot pot establishment with extravagant displays, nor is it an 'authentic' spot with questionable hygiene at the sauce bar.
It's a comfortable, reliable middle ground that we really enjoy.

Great Hot Pot with a Minor Issue
My experience at this top-class hot pot place was generally positive. The meat quality was great, and the service was friendly, earning a perfect 5/5. However, we did find a plastic wrap in one of the pots, which was an unfortunate incident.
Despite this, the overall food quality was highly rated.

Less Food, Same Price - A Rip Off
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing regarding the value for money. While they haven’t raised their prices, they are now giving much less food than before for the same cost. I noticed less meat and less veggies.
It felt like a total rip off!

Mumu Hot Pot: A Flavorful SF Experience
We visited Mumu Hot Pot in San Francisco, drawn by our positive experience at their Pleasanton location. We were seated immediately without a reservation or long wait. As hot pot enthusiasts, this spot truly hit the spot with its focus on personal mini pots and high-quality ingredients, offering a cozy and customizable experience perfect for solo diners or small groups.
The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, with a no-frills vibe, spacious seating, simple decor, and an open setup where the aroma of simmering broths fills the air. Ventilation was decent, and the bathrooms were very clean. The menu is QR-code based, centering on build-your-own hot pot with personal pots.
We enjoyed the buttery spicy broth, which was addicting with its rich, fiery kick. The high-quality meats were tender and flavorful. However, the veggie assortment was overwhelming, leading to waste.
Service was efficient and friendly, with a knowledgeable server. While it's on the pricier side ($30-50 per person), the quality and fun in a casual SF setting make it a worthwhile visit, especially for fans of spicy, mouth-numbing broth. We'll be back, but with a lighter hand on the veggies.

Exceptional Food and Service!
I thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant so much in terms of food and service alike. I believe there’s two servers who work exceptionally hard. One is a lady with red highlights and tattoos, and the other is an Asian man with a black shirt and a fauxhawk.
They were super receptive with us ordering and staying several hours because I had hung out with some friends that I haven’t seen in a long time. They kept topping our waters and asking if we needed anything else. The food was exceptionally good, especially if you’ve been here and got the short rib before, but the presentation is also equally as beautiful.
There was no wait and the prices of the food were decent for the quality. I will be coming back as a loyal customer because I live within the area And I want to try the rest of the soup bases.

Best Tom Yum Hotpot Soup!
My experience at the restaurant was fantastic, especially with their hotpot soup. The Tom Yum flavor was the best in the city. While I wished for more vegetables, the selection they already offer is insane.
The food received a perfect score of 5, service and atmosphere were rated 4.
