Amazing Veggie Sampler and Tibs!
My experience at this restaurant was so yummy! We ordered the veggie sampler and the doro and soga tibs. Everything was absolutely amazing, and we were pleased with the plenty of injera provided.
The service was fast and it was easy to order.

Disappointing Portion Size Change
My experience at the restaurant was disappointing due to a significant change in portion size. The tibs portion is now small, and the injera is tiny. I used to have leftovers from my meals, but now I don't feel full.
This change has left me feeling disappointed.

Never Disappointed at Moya!
My experience at Moya has been consistently excellent. I have never been disappointed after choosing this restaurant. The only aspect I would change is their operating hours, as I wish I could enjoy their delicious food more often.

Amazing Value Hole-in-the-Wall
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The food was amazing, and the value was almost cheap, offering really good value for money. The atmosphere was simple and quiet, making it easy to talk.
I highly recommend this place, which feels like a family-owned small business. The service was excellent, with no wait time.

Unique Ethiopian Dining Experience
Moya was a truly must-try! Our experience was unlike any other Ethiopian restaurant we’ve encountered. The injera had a wonderfully chewy texture that stood out immediately.
Each dish felt comforting and homemade, prepared in a noticeably healthier way with less oil and butter. The vegetarian dishes were particularly impressive, offering lighter flavors with a satisfying, denser texture that made them unique and delicious. The meat dishes were excellent, flavorful without being overly sweet, and served in generous portions.
We also appreciated that the food was less salty, allowing the natural flavors to shine. It was a refreshing and memorable dining experience – highly recommend!

A Neighborhood Gem for Ethiopian Food
My go-to for whenever I want a quick and satisfying meal. While Ethiopian cuisine may not be for everyone, it really should be. This neighborhood staple makes me happy to call this area home.
The atmosphere and service were both rated a perfect 5, and the food also received a 5-star rating. The noise level was quiet, making it easy to talk.

Terrible Service and Unpleasant Experience
My experience at this restaurant was the worst! I walked in and waited for 5 minutes to be seated or to order food, but no one was available to assist. I then went to use the bathroom, and as soon as I headed over, a lady abruptly appeared and rudely told me, “BATHROOM NOT WORKING BYE.
” This is how you treat customers? ! Yikes!
Her hair was a mess; she should wear a hairnet. Gross attitude!

Moya: A Tourist's Ethiopian Delight
As a tourist from Illinois fiending for Ethiopian food, my experience at Moya did not disappoint. This was my fourth time trying Ethiopian cuisine, and Moya provided a flavorful and filling meal. The service was top-tier, and the vibe was great.
If I'm ever in SF again, this is the first place I'll go. It's a women-owned establishment that is affordable and offers quality food.

Cozy Oasis with Excellent Food and Service
My experience at this restaurant was wonderful. The food was excellent, offering both meat and vegan options. The people who run the place are lovely, and the restaurant itself is a cozy little oasis in a struggling part of town.
I highly recommend checking them out to help keep them open!
