Stellar Gluten-Free Experience!
I didn't even know it was gluten-free! The bread and meatballs as appetizers were stellar. The pasta was great as well. My experience was surprisingly good, especially considering the gluten-free aspect.

Incredible Gluten-Free Italian Gem!
My experience at this restaurant was absolutely amazing! I've visited twice in the last week and am already eager to return. I sampled the San Lorenzo pinsa, the suppli (which are like arancini), the amatriciana pasta, the gnocchi, and the zucca arrosto. Every single dish was delicious! For those with Celiac disease, it's important to note that their entire menu and kitchen are 100% gluten-free. You would genuinely never guess, as the flavors are just like the authentic versions. Reservations are recommended. A huge thank you to the owners and staff for this incredible dining experience!

Excellent Gluten-Free Dining Experience
I recently had a wonderful dinner with a group of friends who have Celiac Disease. We were eager to try the new 100% gluten-free menu, and I'm happy to report it met or exceeded our expectations. The Suppli was a particularly nice treat. Beyond the food, the staff were super nice and lovely to interact with. We even had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was also extremely nice and ensured we felt well after our meal. I would definitely eat here again. My only feedback is that the pasta needs a little more work to reach its full potential.

A Celiac's Dream Come True!
As someone who has lived with Celiac disease my entire life, my experience at this restaurant was absolutely incredible. The food was delicious, and I can honestly say it's a place 'to die for' for Celiacs. The owner was amazing, and I'm already looking forward to becoming a regular at this gem. I wholeheartedly give it a 10/10.

Excellent Gluten-Free Italian Gem!
It was an incredible experience to find an Italian restaurant that is celiac-safe and all gluten-free nearby. The food was excellent, and the owner and staff were great hosts. I will definitely bring more friends to come visit!

Exceptional 100% Gluten-Free Dining Experience
My experience at this restaurant was truly outstanding, especially as a 100% gluten-free establishment. I thoroughly enjoyed the amazing meatballs, toast, red sauce, sea bass, and the dark chocolate tart. The vodka martini was also a highlight. The servers were very kind and engaging, contributing to a warm and inviting dining area. The restrooms were also noted as clean and comfortable. If you're seeking a genuinely excellent gluten-free option, this place is a must-try.

A Gluten-Free Dream Come True!
Alice by Montesacro is an absolute gem. Transitioning to a gluten-free kitchen while offering a robust menu has left me speechless. As someone diagnosed with Celiac 19 years ago, dining out has often been filled with fear and disappointment. This was the first time in 19 years that I could look at a menu with the excitement of knowing I can have ANYTHING on the menu. It was a true gift to simply relax and enjoy the absolute best plates of Italian cuisine that transported me back to childhood memories. The Caprese drink was the best I've ever had, smelling like a beautiful fruit and vegetable garden. My husband enjoyed a perfectly balanced martini with elderflower foam. For antipasti, the Poplette Al Sugo outranked my mom's meatballs as the best I've ever had, and the Supplì were delicious with a delightful smokiness from the mozzarella. The Cacio a Pepe was an excellent recommendation, and the Puttanesca transported me back to time spent in Calabria. The Margherita pizza was so good, my daughter wanted to save some for school. The Branzini was transcendent, leaving my husband baffled by its perfection. We finished with the dark chocolate tarte, the lightest flourless cake we've ever had, so good we had to fight my husband for bites. My non-celiac family members usually say, "You wouldn't even know this was gluten-free! " But at Alice by Montesacro, you forget to focus on what the meal doesn't have and simply focus on everything it does. My heart and stomach are full. Thank you to the beautiful owners, talented chef, and especially Alice.

Solid Main, Lacking Sides
My main course was solid, but unfortunately, the execution of the sides was a bit lacklustre. The tomatoes in our panzanella were overly ripe and soft, leading to a not-so-good mouthfeel. Additionally, the fried sardines were dry, even with the cheese inside. On a positive note, the service was good, with friendly staff, and things came quickly.

Excellent Food, Minor Seating Issue
I had a great time at Montesacro Marina. The food was excellent, especially the pizza. The only negative was that they wouldn't seat us at a window table even though it was free. We were told that another group had already requested a window table, which seemed strange. Overall, a very positive dining experience with delicious food.

Authentic Italian Delights at Montesacro
Having been to the Montesacro in Walnut Creek & loved it, this Marina location lived up our high expectations. Authentic and not only are the pasta and pinsa pizzas divine, the appetizers are unique and tasty. We enjoyed the spinach salad with sliced persimmons and the sardines. Service was friendly and attentive. Cozy vibe. Wish the owners can open a few restaurants on the Peninsula too!
