My experience at the restaurant was extremely negative due to the disrespectful and rude service. The staff's behavior was so poor that we had to leave the restaurant and find somewhere else to eat.

Overall, I love this place. The food is delicious and the owner is lovely. I appreciate how simple and straightforward the menu is. The veggie platter is beautiful and each featured dish has unique flavors. It's hard to pick a favorite because they are all so good. I'm looking forward to the warmer months when I can get the coffee ceremony. ❤

My dining experience was incredible! The setting is humble, but the focus is rightly on the food, which is where it should be. The portions are plentiful; one shared meal provided three more servings, totaling five full adult servings from a single order! The food will take your taste buds on a flavor adventure. This is the perfect restaurant for a date night, friends' catch-up, celebration, or a special night out with an out-of-town visitor. Treat yourself!

I had always wanted to try Ethiopian cuisine, and this place left me wanting more. The owner was very excited to inform us on what to get and how it’s usually eaten. We both ate the veggie combo family style and shared a bottle of honey wine. Plenty of food with varying depths of flavor. The place also felt very laid back and homey. It was money and time well spent.

My experience at this restaurant was truly great. The food was tasty, and the owner was incredibly engaging, spending a lot of time discussing the dishes. They even went the extra mile by bringing out certain spices for us to taste, which was a thoughtful touch given our home cooking of Ethiopian cuisine. The service was outstanding, rated a 5 out of 5, and the food quality was excellent, also rated a 5 out of 5. While parking was somewhat difficult to find, the overall atmosphere was rated a 4, making for a very positive dining experience.

This place is my go-to for Ethiopian food. The Lamb tibs are so delectable and something I’ve been ordering for about 20 years. I love it so much that of course I had to learn how to make it, but Meskel makes it the best. I’ve tried a few other restaurants out of desperation when they were closed, but it doesn’t come close. The lentils, cheese, green chicken, and other dishes are all worth a try – see for yourself!

I have been to this restaurant SO many times and the food is always just delicious. The owner/chef is the most kind, genuine and wonderful woman. She always remembers my family and me, even if it has been months and always makes sure our experience is nothing short of excellent. I have loved Ethiopian food since I was a kid and I always thoroughly enjoy going to Meskel. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed!
