Consistently Great Flavors and Service
My co-worker and I visit this restaurant frequently. Our experience has always been consistently good, with flavors and service that never disappoint. The food is always delicious, and the atmosphere is pleasant.
We highly recommend it for its reliability and quality.

Dry Brisket and Disappointing Sides
My experience at this restaurant was quite disappointing, primarily due to the food. The brisket was the driest I've ever had, tougher than an overcooked steak, and tasted like smoked jerky. I even found Dickey's to be better.
The mac n cheese was so bad it would make you cry, and the collard greens had too much vinegar and a mushy, baby food-like consistency.

Excellent BBQ, Worth the Visit
My experience at this restaurant was excellent, particularly the BBQ. I highly recommend trying it on Wednesdays when the Reuben special is available. Although I no longer live in the neighborhood, this place holds a special place in my heart, and I cherish every opportunity to visit.
The current owner has done an excellent job carrying on the legacy of the local BBQ legend, Bob Kantor, in The City. The atmosphere and service were both top-notch, rated 5 out of 5.

Inconsistent Food, Terrible Service
This place has gone downhill since the new owners took over. Some of the food is still good, but some of it isn't, and it's extremely inconsistent. Some days it's good, some days not as good.
The worst part is the lady who takes your order (one of the new owners). She never gets your order right and even starts yelling at you, when she's the one who can't understand English and has a heavy Korean accent that is hard to understand. I'd rather order from the cooks.
I've ordered once from the Korean man, and he was okay. He was also hard to understand, but he was more friendly, and he didn't mess up my order. I experimented by sending other people to order, and they also had the lady mess up their order and communication difficulties.
Oh yeah, don't bother ordering by phone, it makes it worse. At least if you order in person, there's a chance the cooks/workers will hear you and correct the order. Giving it 3 stars because the times when the food is made well, it's still good and reminds me of when the old owners were there.
Also, their sauces do seem to be the same as before, and they've always been known for their homemade sauces.

Memphis Minnie's: The Only BBQ Choice
I'm only rating the ribs and bbq sauces from here because, let's be honest, that's what you go to a BBQ joint for. My experience is based on San Francisco BBQ spots within a 5-mile radius of the city center. Frankly, 4050 is a disappointment; they have no sauce options and it's the kind of BBQ that people from the South would mock.
Memphis Minnie's is the only place I'll go for beer, sauce, and ribs. Period. If you're looking for a fun night, you can then head to Molotovs to play pool and get hammered.

This is a great joint in the area! I absolutely loved their brisket, the beer sauce, and the blooming onion. 너무 맛있게 잘 먹었습니다!
The beer and cookies were also very delicious :) Unfortunately, I had a sudden schedule change, so I won't be able to revisit soon. I hope to see you again next time!
