A Taste of Nostalgia: The Best Pizza Ever
During my time in the Army, stationed at the Presidio of San Francisco from 1983-1984, I recall a pizza restaurant on the north side of Lombard Street near Pierce. I only ever ordered takeout, and they delivered to our barracks. This was likely the most popular, possibly the only, pizza place that delivered to The Presidio.
I remember them delivering pizza to my barracks room late in the evening, usually around midnight. I always ordered the same sausage and mushroom pizza. The sauce was perfectly tangy, the dough both crispy and chewy, the sausage was perfectly spiced (possibly with fennel), and the mushrooms were fresh, not canned.
They never skimped on the toppings. This is the pizza against which I measure all others. It was an amazing pizza.
I wish I could go back in time to relive the experience. AI suggests Marina Pizza at 2386 Lombard St. moved to 2139 Lombard St. While I can't recall the name from the 1980s, I suspect it's the same place. Next time I'm in San Francisco, I'll visit this location to see if it's still as good.
My review might be untimely, so take it with a grain of salt. But if it's the same restaurant from 42 years ago, it was the greatest pizza of my 61 years, anywhere on Earth! I'd love to know if anyone can confirm if these two places are the same.

Peaceful, Quick, and Delicious Service
My experience at the restaurant was incredibly positive. The atmosphere was calm and peaceful, and it wasn't overly busy, which contributed to a relaxing dining experience. The service was super quick and grateful, making the visit efficient and pleasant.
I also highly recommend the dessert; it's a must-try.

Delicious Pizza, Tight Space
My experience at this restaurant was centered around their delicious foods, particularly their nice pizzas and pastas. The food quality was excellent, earning a perfect score. However, the dining experience was impacted by the area being a bit hard to find parking.
Additionally, due to it being a very small restaurant, there's a possibility of not finding seats.

Good Pizzeria with Friendly Service
This is a nice little pizzeria where you can enjoy or share good pizzas, or even have some delicious ravioli, for example. The service was efficient and friendly. The budget is reasonable.

Cool spot, food was okay
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. The guy who was cool and the shop was cool, contributing to a pleasant atmosphere. However, the food wasn't the best overall.
While the lasagna was good and the bread was also a positive point, the general food quality didn't blow me away. The service and atmosphere were rated well, but the food score was average.

Delicious Pizzas, Great Experience
My experience at the restaurant was very positive. I had pizzas that were very delicious. We ate on-site and therefore received super hot and freshly prepared pizzas.
The location is good. There are 4 tables indoors and a toilet. The food was rated a 5, and the service and atmosphere were rated a 4.

Pizza was good, but stingy with cheese
The pizza was good, but they are very stingy with the cheese. For 25 dollars, you'd expect more, especially for a cheese-only pizza. The box was bigger than the pizza itself.

Delicious Pizza and Professional Service
My experience at this restaurant was great! The cheese pizza tasted good 👍, offering a different flavor that I definitely liked. The patrons were professional and polite.
There is a restroom for customers. I can't wait to try their Hawaiian pizza. It's recomendado!
