Disappointing Fairmont Dining Experience
My experience at the restaurant was quite disappointing, especially considering it's a Fairmont. The food was very mediocre, and I suspect the wine was watered down. While the soup was acceptable, it lacked flavor.
The herb-seasoned chicken was only notable for being cooked, which is a low bar. The atmosphere received a low rating of 2, and service was rated a 3. The food quality was rated a 1.

Breakfast Buffet Disappointment
My experience at this restaurant was a significant letdown. It feels like the shadow of what it once was. The breakfast, which I assume was once a highlight, has been turned into a regular buffet.
Unfortunately, the food quality was poor, and it was offered at a ridiculous price.

Brilliant Soup and Service!
My experience at this beautiful hotel and restaurant was fantastic. The Butternut squash and roasted pear soup was brilliant, and I also loved the non-alcoholic Bloody Mary. The service was great.
While it is $$$ pricey, the quality of the food and service made it a worthwhile experience.

Worst Service Ever Experienced
My experience at this restaurant was quite literally the worst service I have ever encountered. If I could give negative ratings, I absolutely would.

Excellent Service and Delicious Food!
My experience at the restaurant was fantastic! Wu was incredibly attentive and friendly during our two morning breakfasts. The entire staff was so kind to our very busy toddler.
Thanks to Wu and Yong for starting our mornings off right! The food was delicious and exactly what we needed.

Good Food and Service at the Hotel
I was staying at the hotel and had a great experience. They provided free breakfast each day and I received discounts on lunch and dinner. The chicken and burger were both good, and the host and waitstaff were nice.
The atmosphere was quiet, easy to talk, and there was no wait.

Disappointing Buffet, Elegant Setting
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. While it boasts a lovely old-world charm and an elegant atmosphere (rated 5/5), the food was a significant letdown. The limited buffet, likely due to low volume, was simply not good.
I had expected better, especially after a fantastic breakfast buffet at The Fairmont in Whistler. The service was decent (rated 4/5), but it couldn't compensate for the subpar food. Although convenient, I would recommend going elsewhere for a meal.
Ordering off the menu might yield better results.

Grand Hotel Dining with Service Hiccups
My experience at Fairmont's main lobby restaurant in May 2025 was marked by its stately and very grand historic interiors, which truly benefit the heritage hotel's iconic status in SFO. The restaurant serves a standard American menu, which also doubles as the in-room service menu. The dishes are in good and standard portions.
However, the service may be a bit slow, which the reviewer attributes to a staff shortage. Despite this, the atmosphere was rated a 5, and food a 4.

Wonderful Cocktails on a Rainy Afternoon
On a rainy afternoon, I had cocktails in the Laurel Court Bar. The drinks were wonderful, and the service was as expected. It's a very nice area to chat and get ready for the evening.

Good Service, Limited Vegetarian Options
My experience at the restaurant was a mixed bag. The ambiance was delightful, and the overall dining experience was enjoyable, earning a 4/4 for atmosphere. The service provided by the staff was excellent, also rated 4/4.
However, the taste and menu selections fell somewhat short of expectations, reflected in a food score of 3/5. Specifically, vegetarian options were limited.
