Disappointing Meal and Small Portions
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. I was automatically served a tossed salad when I had no desire for it, which ruined a meal that was already going to cost upwards of $16. The portions of protein were small, and there was a lack of good, substantial vegan options.
I believe the restaurant only survives by preying on students and faculty money due to its location. : (Service: 1/5 Atmosphere: 4/5 Food: 2/5

Menu looked good, but couldn't visit
The menu looked promising, but unfortunately, I couldn't make it to the restaurant. I was on my way to take a friend home, and it just didn't work out. It sucks.

Good food, difficult access
My experience was good, but picking up my order for non-students is very difficult. I found it hard to get inside the building because you need a badge to access it. I had to ask someone to let me in, which was both inconvenient and a security issue.
I usually opt for delivery from here and haven't encountered any problems. However, I wish the location was better so I could pick up my order myself.

Disappointing Bland Chicken Chipotle Salad
My experience at the restaurant was disappointing, primarily due to the food. I ordered the chicken chipotle salad and found it to be the most bland salad I've ever had. The ratio of lettuce to toppings was extremely unbalanced, about 95/5.
The chicken, which I suspect is pre-made and used for multiple dishes, lacked any seasoning and tasted very bad. I couldn't eat it.

Great Food, Tricky Location
My experience involved ordering online for pickup, but I encountered some difficulty reaching the location, unsure if a badge was required for access. However, the food itself was excellent. I ordered the Asian Chicken salad and pea soup, and both tasted great.
The salad was filling with the chicken and edamame, and the split pea soup was seasoned very well. I will definitely order the soup again.

Hard to Find, Decent Sandwiches
My experience at this restaurant was challenging due to its difficult location. It's not where Google Maps indicates; instead, you need to go to the Medical Sciences building, ascend to the second floor, and exit into the courtyard. The restaurant is then visible across the courtyard in the School of Nursing building.
I wasn't sure if a badge was required to enter. I eventually found a sign in a hallway that provided directions, otherwise, I would have had to call the cafe. I ordered two vegetarian sandwiches, which were pretty good, but the effort to find the place made them not worth the time.
I would recommend this place if you are already at or around UCSF.

Disappointing Experience: Rude Service and Declining Quality
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. The service was rude, and the quality of the food has gone downhill. I'm unsure why I would return.
It's a shame because it used to be the only semi-healthy option available on-site. However, the wilted brownish greens, the single slice of turkey on their sandwiches, and the bad service have led me to believe I need to look elsewhere.

Grateful for Late Service
Although I didn't get to taste the food, I was able to get some chips and a Spindrift as they were closing. Thank you for obliging, I was starving!

Edible pastries, but food tastes wrong
My experience at this restaurant was mixed. The prepacked pastries were edible, which was a small positive. However, most of their other food tasted really wrong.
For instance, a sandwich with chicken, pesto, and brussels sprouts had an overwhelming lemon flavor. Another dish, a burrito with avocado and chorizo, smelled like copper but lacked any discernible taste. Overall, the food quality was disappointing.
