My experience at this restaurant was mixed. The chicken was good, but the service was bad. I felt treated differently simply because I don't speak Spanish, even though I can understand. I would recommend ordering online for a better experience, allowing for a quick gas and go.

My experience at Krispy Krunchy was centered around their famous Cajun chicken. When eaten fresh, it's an incredibly tasty dish, unlike any burger I've had. However, I strongly advise against eating the chicken if it's been sitting on the warmer. If it's not made fresh, it simply doesn't taste good, and you'll likely want to return it.

I usually don't write reviews, but this place has become so bad that I felt compelled to share my experience. As a regular customer who often stops by on my way to work for a bite, I've witnessed a significant decline in food quality. It's gotten worse with every visit, to the point where I've given up on the establishment. Today, I purchased nuggets with my limited funds, only to find they were rock hard and tasted like they had been sitting out for far too long. To add to the issue, the ranch packet was already partially open, spilling as I walked. Furthermore, the staff seems to pay little attention to customers, a behavior I've observed with others as well. Their drink selection has also been dwindling, suggesting lazy ordering. This isn't an occasional problem; it's happening every time I visit. It's a shame because this used to be my daily go-to, but after today, I'm done.

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars, but it's gas station fried chicken, so it can't quite reach that. However, the chicken is unexpectedly delicious! It's perfectly fried, with no batter, just flour and amazing seasoning. The seasoning has a slight acidic, spicy vein running through it, making it really quite satisfying, especially at 2 am when the bars close. It's also a great option to buy a bucket for a Sunday picnic. Since it's a franchise, you can find it in most cities, at least in California. Just remember, it's in a gas station convenience store, so it's not a dine-in, seated meal. It's some of the best fast food out there, and who doesn't crave fried chicken every now and then? ! 😆

I'm writing this immediately after my meal. I ordered a combo and some wedges. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by finding a stone under my teeth and an expired, foul-tasting ranch. Regarding the chicken, it tasted like 8-hour-old food that had been kept under warmers. This is just what I felt during my meal.

Our family and friends used to buy from this S. Van Ness location for years, and it was known for the best chicken around. However, since my son's cancer diagnosis in May 2023, the service and chicken have gone downhill. My son's favorite chicken and potato wedges would always run out, or we were served very dry, old food. This is concerning because cancer patients cannot eat food older than 30 minutes to 1 hour due to bacteria that can be harmful to those with low to zero immune systems. We've found that the Krispy Krunchy on 3rd and SSF always makes fresh batches for my son and treats him to the delicious blueberry cornbread! We wish we could still go to the 16th/S. Van Ness location, but we won't risk the time, safety, or the off chance of finally getting fresh food.

My experience at this Krispy Krunchy Chicken was exactly what I expected from the brand! The best part is that it's available 24/7, which is exactly the best thing after a night out drinking with friends. The food was great, and the atmosphere and service were also top-notch.

My experience at this restaurant was a complete RED FLAG! The food was greasy and overpriced. To make matters worse, the people working there were jerks. I witnessed the clerk picking her nose without gloves, and they consistently overcharge on orders. There were instances of staff coughing and spitting in food. The area was sticky, gross, and unsanitary. They even laughed at me when I mentioned the cleanliness. I will never go there again, despite it being the only late-night option in the area. I give this place a RED FLAG!
