Good Kodi Vepudu, Decent Chicken Chettinadu
My experience at the restaurant was mixed. The Kodi vepudu was good. The Chicken chettinadu was decent, but not quite as good as the Kodi vepudu.
Next time, I will try the biryani since they ran out of it this time.

Favorite Casual Indian Spot
This is one of my favorite casual spots to get Indian food. I highly recommend the Kerala chicken, and in fact, all the chicken tapas are good. The atmosphere, service, and food were all excellent, each receiving a 5-star rating.

Tasty Dosa and Vada, Needs Dairy-Free Options
My experience at the restaurant was great! I really enjoyed the tasty Dosa and Medu Vada. The food was excellent, and I'd love to see more non-dairy high protein options for the Dosa, such as chicken without dairy, lentil daal, tofu, or soy chunks.
The service and atmosphere were also top-notch, both receiving a 5-star rating.

Disgusting Food and Rude Service
My experience at this restaurant was absolutely terrible. The food was disgusting, especially the Dosa, which is a South Indian staple that they completely failed to get right. The sambar was so disgusting I felt like I wanted to throw up.
Adding to the awful food experience, the cashier had zero customer service skills. They were very rude to me, and then acted flirty towards a white person, which was very weird.

Tasty food, too much food coloring
My experience at the restaurant was mixed. The food was certainly tasty, but there was an excessive amount of food color used. I believe the restaurant should cut down on artificial food color.
The service received a rating of 3, atmosphere a 2, and food a 3.

Must-Try Dosa and Chettinad Chicken!
My experience at the restaurant was fantastic, especially the food. I highly recommend trying the Dosa and the Chettinad Chicken. Combining them, the Dosa with Chettinad chicken, was an exceptional culinary experience that made me feel like I could 'live longer'.
The food quality was rated a perfect 5, and the atmosphere was equally impressive with a score of 5. Service was also excellent, receiving a 5-star rating, and there was no wait time.

Family-Run Gem with Affable Service
This place is family-run, and their efforts show. The lady helming it is super affable, and we hope they can stick around for as long as possible.

Worth the Wait for Authentic South Indian Food
We visited Kolapasi at night and experienced a significant wait of 30-40 minutes to be seated due to the restaurant being very busy. After our long wait, we were hoping for good food, and the service was surprisingly quick once we were seated. Despite the crowd, our food arrived rapidly.
Upon tasting our first dishes, we were convinced Kolapasi was the best hotel we had experienced in the US. As South Indians, we thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. The food was Top Notch, making the long wait feel worthwhile, even though the place is somewhat small.
Overall, a 5-star experience for the food.

Authentic South Indian Flavors in SF
My experience at this restaurant was absolutely fire! While I was in Kerala and Thiruvananthapuram earlier this year for a wedding, the food here reminded me of all the flavors and spices from there. The place is packed with customers from Indian descent.
San Francisco is incredibly lucky to have such an amazing South Indian restaurant.
