Excellent Food and Service for a Birthday Party
We celebrated a birthday party for four people, and our experience was fantastic. Our server, Pelin, was incredibly attentive and took great care of us throughout the meal. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was excellent. I highly recommend visiting for lunch, as it's not too crowded at that time, making for a very pleasant and quiet atmosphere.

Disappointing Food, Excellent Service
Kayah, a location of the Burma empire in SF, offers a nice setting right next to the Chase stadium and hospital. The service was excellent; our server was attentive and took great care of us, answering questions about dishes in detail. However, the food is where this place really falls short. We found the dishes to be quite bland and sometimes undercooked. The spicy noodles were not spicy at all and the noodles were very al dente. Several tofu dishes tasted identical, and the paratha curry had very little flavor, which was disappointing. The saving grace was the tea leaf salad and the garlic eggplant dish, both of which were quite tasty. For the price, I really expected more, both in quantity but especially quality. We really wanted to like this place but will not be coming back.

Excellent Layover Stop with Great Food
I stumbled upon this restaurant during an extended layover at SFO. We walked in off the street and were immediately seated. Our drinks arrived within minutes, showcasing the bartender's expertise. For an appetizer, we ordered calamari, which was incredibly fresh and perfectly seasoned. Our entrees were awesome, with great flavors. While I enjoy curry, the Burmese curry was a bit more subtle than my usual Indian favorites, but still very good. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes next time I'm in town!

Delicious Cod, Okay Tiramisu
My experience at the restaurant was highlighted by the incredibly soft and delicious black Cod Fish in banana leaf 😋. The tea-misu was just okay.

Overpriced with Lack of Flavor
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. The dishes were overpriced and lacked flavor. The food tasted American, with an overwhelming amount of lemongrass, and was missing essential Asian spices and flavor. The service received a score of 2, atmosphere a 3, and food a 3.

Terrible vegetarian experience
My experience at this restaurant was quite disappointing. I was given red sauce with only a few pieces of tofu and no other vegetables. To make matters worse, they served us curry that contained chicken broth, despite us clearly mentioning that we are vegetarians. I am definitely looking into filing a complaint.

Bustling New Location with Delicious Burmese Flavors
My experience at Kayah by Burma Love's newly opened Chase Center location was fantastic! The restaurant was already bustling upon arrival. I've always enjoyed Burmese cuisine, and this spot delivers the same flavors I love from their other restaurants. The prices are about average – not cheap, but consistent. Our servers were attentive and provided great recommendations 💛. The atmosphere is stylish and inviting, making it a place you'll want to linger. I particularly enjoyed the curry chicken, which was a generous portion. The pork belly was also really good, and I definitely recommend dipping it into the sauce. I also tried the pineapple salad for the first time, and it was pretty good. Next time, I'm 100% checking out their bar! 🍹

Amazing Meals and Atmosphere
I have had two amazing meals here. I highly recommend the steak and fried chicken, and of course the tea leaf salad! My first visit was on a quiet Monday, offering an intimate atmosphere with speedy service. On another visit, I was seated outside in the sun, enjoying the fantastic atmosphere while the Valkyries game was shown on the big screen. Despite being much busier, the restaurant had ample staff.

Great Burmese Food Before the Game
I was very happy to discover this restaurant, which is the younger sibling of Burma Superstar. If you're tired of fast food near Chase Center, this place is a fantastic alternative. We chose to sit outside on a sunny San Francisco day, allowing us to keep an eye on the time to leave before the Valkyries game crowds grew. We ordered lightly to eat quickly before the game. The menu offered many gluten-free options, which was heavenly! We enjoyed the fresh spring roll, veggie/tofu curry, and coconut rice. Our server, aware we were heading to the game, was prompt with our order. He suggested ordering everything, including dessert, upfront so he could close our check for a quick exit. It was perfect, though we skipped dessert this time. We'll need to visit much earlier next time for a more leisurely dining experience.
