Terrible Service and Undercooked Food
My experience at this restaurant was extremely negative. The service was the worst I've ever encountered. The staff member at the counter was rude and failed to address me initially.
When I inquired about the specific type of lentil, he repeatedly stated it was 'daal' without providing a clear answer, showing a lack of knowledge. The food was also disappointing; the roti was uncooked, and they inexplicably added egg to the naan, which is highly unusual for an Indian restaurant. I cannot recommend this place and suggest looking for better restaurants elsewhere.

Delicious Indian Food & Excellent Chai
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! I enjoyed delicious, quick, and healthy Indian food, conveniently served in a roti or naan. The chai was excellent 👌.
The atmosphere was quiet and conducive to easy conversation, and the service was top-notch.

Hidden Fees Ruin Food Experience
While I have no complaints about the food itself, I must update my previous review. I've discovered that the restaurant has been charging a hidden 4% junk fee on all orders, disguising it as 'tax'. Although restaurants can decide to implement fees, it's unacceptable and potentially illegal to conceal an extra charge and label it as tax.
This fee is not advertised on their website or during the ordering process. I even attempted to contact them about this issue, but received no response.

Bitterly Disappointed Lunch Experience
We went for lunch hoping for a good meal based on positive reviews, but we were bitterly disappointed. We ordered the aloo tiki chaat, and they served a frozen tikki that seemed cold and not properly cooked. The roti kati was soggy, and the cauliflower inside was completely bland.
We couldn’t even eat and ended up leaving the food behind. I would advise others to save your time and health.

Kasa: Bold Indian Street Food Delight
My experience at Kasa was fantastic! They hit the spot with bold, flavorful Indian street food served in a fast-casual setting. The Chicken Tikka Masala was rich and well-spiced, and the Paneer Kati Roll is an absolute must-try – perfectly wrapped with smoky paneer and chutney.
I highly recommend not skipping the samosas and house chutneys; they were delicious. The thali plate offered great variety and generous portions. While the space is more functional than cozy, the food was consistently satisfying.
It's a solid go-to for quick, tasty Indian comfort food.

Authentic Indian Flavors and Cozy Vibe
My experience at Kasa Chai was wonderful! The chai, snacks, curries, and meals were all so authentic ♥️🇮🇳. They were well-prepared and nutritious.
I especially loved the vibe and the desi cuisine aroma in SFO. It truly felt like home 🇮🇳🥂♥️. The Vegan Thali Plate was a recommended dish, and the restaurant offers a large vegetarian selection including Samosa, chai, Kadhai paneer, eggplant, aloo curry, and naan breads, all of which were delicious 👍👍.
The service was rated 5, the atmosphere was 5, and the food was 5. It's also kid-friendly, wheelchair accessible, and has a quiet noise level, making it easy to talk. The wait time was non-existent.
The price per person is estimated at $20–30.

Terrible Indian Food Experience
My experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. I found the Indian food to be the worst I've ever had. The food tasted stale and was completely tasteless, lacking any resemblance to authentic Indian cuisine.
The vegetarian options were rated 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮, and I would not recommend them for vegetarians. The atmosphere and service were rated a mere 1, and the food quality also received a 1. The price per person was between $30–50, and the wait time was 10-30 minutes for dinner.

Disappointing Experience, Visit Castro Location Instead
My experience at this restaurant was not nearly as good as the Castro location. The food didn’t taste nearly as fresh and it was just kind of sloppily put together. Additionally, the place was pretty dirty.
I would definitely recommend going to the Castro location instead.
