Kappa Sushi - Reviews

My experience at the restaurant was mixed. While the rolls sounded promising on the menu, the ones I received were not as good as expected. However, my kids thoroughly enjoyed the chicken katsu and the curry bowl.

This has been a regular spot for us for a while now, and they truly deserve a review. The fish quality is prime. The service is provided by a lovely group of experienced ladies who offer a very nice and friendly experience. We usually enjoy some nigiri and classic sushi, along with a noodle (soba) dish with either chicken or beef. The prices are fair. While they don't accept walk-ins, the turnover is fairly fast. We will definitely keep coming back. Thank you!

Living near Convoy Street, an area known for its many excellent Japanese restaurants, I've found a true gem in Kappa. After being introduced to it by friends ten years ago, we rarely go anywhere else. The food is consistently fresh, high quality, and beautifully presented. Whether it's bentos, rolls, sashimi, or drinks, everything is top notch. The wide selection of options also offers excellent value. Beyond the food, the owners and staff provide professional, down-to-earth, and good-humored service, making you feel at ease. I highly recommend Kappa.

I've been coming to Kappa Sushi since it opened and have never had a disappointing meal. The staff always makes me feel welcome, and I truly enjoy the food. My experiences here have always been very positive, and I find it to be worth the value.

My experience at this restaurant was positive overall, with good food and great service. However, the restaurant is on the smaller side, which can lead to it being crowded during prime times. The food is definitely pricey; a normal amount of food, including a beer and two rolls, came out to over $40 per person with tax and tip. While the sushi was good, it wasn't mind-blowing for the price. It seems like the lunch combo or happy hour might be the best way to go here.

This is a smaller spot, so it can get crowded. The food was so good! I was too hungry to take any photos. If you want great sushi, this would be the place to go.

My experience at this sushi spot in Mira Mesa was fantastic. The food was delicious, and the portions were large and shareable. I was impressed by the fresh sushi that not only looked great but tasted even better. The prices for both food and drinks were reasonable, and the service was excellent. I highly recommend giving them a try when you're craving sushi. Remember to tip well!

My experience at this restaurant was positive. It's a bit pricey, but the quality of the food is definitely there. I particularly enjoyed the rolls and the appetizers we ordered. The service and atmosphere were also excellent.

Stopped in for lunch and had a great experience at this nice little sushi place. The staff is chill and cool, and I even had a good laugh with one of them who lost their phone but had an amazing sense of humor about it. 10 out of 10, will be coming back again!
