Good Brunch, Not Memorable
My experience at Jane's on Fillmore for brunch was pleasant. We tried the spicy baked eggs and the spring pea toast. While both dishes were good, they weren't particularly remarkable.
A positive aspect was the wait time; we were seated around 10 am on a Sunday with barely any delay, making it a good option if you're short on time.

Delicious Pastries and Coffee, Poor Cashier Service
I had a disappointing experience with a cashier during my recent visit this morning. However, the pastries were fresh, creative, and absolutely delicious. Their coffee is always top-notch.

Smoothly Run Brunch with Great Options
My experience at this restaurant was very positive. It's a well-organized brunch place that runs smoothly, offering consistency in the quality of food and service. The menu has lots of great options.
The atmosphere was rated a 5, and the service was also a 5. Dietary restrictions like GF options are available, and it has a family vibe, making kids welcome. The wait time was up to 10 minutes, and wheelchair accessibility is provided.
The only minor challenge was that parking was somewhat difficult to find. Overall, it's a place I would highly recommend for vegetarians.

Amazing Avocado Toast, But Bland Toast
I was very curious to try this place as I see it filled with people all the time. I ordered an avocado mash toast to go. The plating looked amazing and the egg poach was far better than I expected.
I cannot give five stars because the toast was a bit bland. I think they tried to add some kick with jalapenos, but I found it too spicy and not harmonious with the avocado. The bread itself was thick but had no seasoning.
Maybe if it had some additional spread or butter, then it would be better.

Jane: A Step Up for Croissants and Coffee
My experience at Jane was a great discovery for croissants and coffee. While it's close to Peet's, which is also very good, Jane is a definite step up. It's a small place, but definitely worth a trip.

Superb Matcha and Oats!
My experience at the restaurant was fantastic! I absolutely loved it. The matcha was superb, and the maple syrup with the overnight oats was a nice sweet touch.
The food also had a good amount of searing. Overall, a great experience with excellent food and service.

Vibrant Cafe with Delicious Treats
My experience at this lovely and vibrant cafe was fantastic! The vibes are great, the staff is friendly, and the tasty treats are a highlight. I’ve been visiting all the Jane’s locations, and this Fillmore spot might be my favorite.
The team is cheerful and efficient, and the space is beautiful and always bustling. While it can be a bit challenging to find a seat due to its popularity, they have a good amount of seating, and turnover is quick, especially at the smaller high-tops. It’s not the ideal place for working as there’s no wifi and it can get loud, but it’s perfect for a casual brunch/lunch or to hang out with friends.
The coffee is solid and a smidge nutty, and I’m obsessed with all their pastries. Although the pastry selection is smaller than Jane the Bakery, they offer most favorites, including a good range of vegan and gluten-free options. I haven’t tried their normal food, but it looks delicious.

Charming Cafe with Delicious Surprises
I was pleasantly surprised by Jane on Fillmore, a charming little café tucked among the boutiques on Fillmore Street. I had expected just pastries and coffee, but the menu was much more extensive — and everything I tried exceeded expectations. The avocado toast was fresh and flavorful, and the latte was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had.
The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The space is a bit narrow, especially downstairs where seating is limited, but they do have extra tables upstairs and a few spots outside, which is a nice touch. This place is always bustling — there seems to be a steady flow of people no matter the time of day, and now I totally understand why.
I can’t wait to come back and try more from their menu!

Fabulous Pastries, Horrible Operations
My experience at this restaurant was a tale of two halves. The pastries were absolutely fabulous, a true highlight. However, the operations were horrible.
There was a line of customers eight deep, with six staff behind the counter, yet only one was actively helping customers. The situation was exacerbated by a customer at the front of the line with a large, indecisive order of 36 single pastries, which held up service for a full 15 minutes. Worse yet, when the serving staff member asked for help from his colleagues, they either turned their backs or stated they weren't sure how they could assist.
This chaos is definitely not worth the amazing pastries, and it's clear that customers are being lost due to this kind of service.

Great Food, Poor Service
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. The food was really good and truly enjoyable, and it was also reasonably priced. However, the staff was so disengaged from their job that I felt like offering to do their work for them.
It's a pity because the food itself is excellent.
