Excellent Food and Service!
My experience at this restaurant was excellent. I opted for the chef's selection, which offered a taste of various dishes from the menu. The staff were great, providing thorough explanations and demonstrating extensive knowledge with a friendly demeanor. I will definitely return.

Pleasant Atmosphere, Small Portions
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the cocktails were well-prepared. However, the pasta portion was small for the price, and the dessert wasn’t completely fresh. While the overall food quality is good, the experience could be improved with a better balance between quantity and quality.

Promising Date Spot, Underwhelming Food
I had been looking forward to trying this place for a long time and finally got the chance to visit. It's a nice place to go for a date, however, the food was a bit underwhelming. The appetizer, a chef's choice selection, included scallops, ahi tuna, and amberjack. Unfortunately, the fish tasted fishy and the sauce was salty. The pasta was just okay, but the main dish, grilled pork, was again salty and excessively oily. This left me feeling super heavy after the meal, even though I didn't eat much of it.

A Deliciously Disorienting Culinary Adventure
Dining at Itria felt like stepping into a fever dream where Tokyo meets Rome—elegant, sultry, and deliciously disorienting in the best way. Their tasting menu was a wild ride through bold hamachi, silky handmade pastas, and razor-sharp technique, all presented with a confidence that borders on audacious. The value was almost suspiciously good; for the quality, portion sizes, and sheer creative force behind each dish, you'd expect to pay double! It started with a perfect, tantalizing amuse-bouche, followed by a variety of bright, zesty seafood, then a creamy, yet lush agnolotti, and a sea urchin spaghetti that hummed with oceanic depth and richness. Every bite was a plot twist. Equally unforgettable was the staff, who were less like servers and more like eccentric dinner party hosts that run the floor—in the best way possible. They were radiant, attentive, and made me feel instantly part of something rare and electric. Whether it was a unique wine recommendation or an off-menu surprise, their personality was as much a part of the experience as the food. Itria doesn’t just serve dinner, it seduces you with flavor, flair, and a sense of joyful rebellion. A true gem in SF’s dining scene that has me looking forward to my next visit.

Oysters Shine, Fees Frustrate
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. The Miyagi oysters were the standout of the night, truly exceptional. However, the billing was a significant issue. There was a 6% forced fee on all bills, and then the pre-selected tip options were 20-25% of the bill, which included taxes and these fees. It felt like they expected us to tip on the tax and fees, which is quite unusual and frustrating.

Mixed Feelings: Great Pork, Lukewarm Pasta
My experience at this restaurant was a mix of highs and lows. We were seated quickly, even though the restaurant seemed busy. The staff took about 5-10 minutes to bring water and take our orders. The atmosphere has a date-spot vibe with a blend of contemporary and natural decor. Initially, I was disappointed with the pappardelle as it arrived lukewarm, which was unusual. However, the sauce for the pappardelle was rich with generous butter and garlic. The pork belly crocchette were amazing – crispy, umami-rich, and had a light tanginess, complemented by an aioli with just the right heat. The pork coppa sauce was well-balanced with citrus, sweet nectarines, stone fruit, and earthy beans. The pork itself had a nice smoky char without being dry. While it took about 45 minutes from ordering to receive the dish, I highly recommend it. Overall, it was a good dining experience, and I'd be interested in trying the crudo next time.

Pricey Italian with Unique Twists
I visited this restaurant on a weekend evening and was seated right away at the bar. It seems like a nice place for celebrations, as there were many large parties. I really liked the decor. The food is quite pricey, but I enjoyed their fresh and unique twist on well-executed Italian cuisine. The portion sizes were best described as “healthy. ” For a $30 pasta dish, it's definitely a luxury item, and their pastas are what they're most known for, so I'd recommend sticking to those. My reason for not giving a 5-star rating is the wait time for our main course, which was 25 minutes after finishing our starters. Additionally, the server tried to take my plate away just as I was finishing my last bite of pasta. Finally, I wasn't a fan of the tip options starting at a minimum of 20%.

Itria: Refined Italian with Memorable Pastas
My experience at Itria, located in San Francisco’s Mission District, was delightful. The restaurant offers a contemporary take on Italian cuisine that appeals to both traditionalists and adventurous diners. Chef Daniel Evers excels in crafting a menu that highlights house-made pastas and fresh seafood. The space itself is minimalist yet inviting. A standout dish was the mafaldine cacio e uova, where the pasta's frilly ribbons were enveloped in a silky pecorino and egg sauce, generously accented with black pepper. This preparation elevated the classic cacio e pepe, providing a rich and comforting experience. Equally compelling was the spaghetti with anchovy and garlic, a dish that masterfully balanced the umami depth of anchovies with the aromatic allure of garlic, showcasing Itria’s talent for transforming simple ingredients into memorable flavors. Beyond pasta, Itria’s crudo offerings, such as blue fin tuna, underscored the restaurant’s commitment to fresh, high-quality ingredients. The wine selections further enhanced the dining experience with thoughtful pairings. Whether seeking a relaxed evening at the bar or a celebratory meal, Itria delivers a dining experience that is both refined and approachable.

Italian-Japanese Fusion with Standout Dishes
My experience at the restaurant was very positive. The tasting menu offered a delightful blend of Italian and Japanese influences. Among the dishes, the uni pasta, tuna, and oysters were particularly memorable favorites. The drink pairing was also a highlight, featuring a fun selection of wine and sake, with the strawberry dessert sake being a standout. The service was good, and while the noise level was loud, conversation was still possible. The food received a high rating, and the atmosphere was enjoyable.

Rude Server Ruined Dinner Experience
My experience at this restaurant was far from positive. The server was quite rude throughout the entire dinner. Despite making a reservation days in advance for 5: 45 PM, upon arrival at 5: 35 PM, I was immediately informed that the table needed to be returned by 7: 00 PM. Throughout our meal, the server repeatedly reminded us to leave as soon as possible, which felt like being forced out. This impatience extended to taking new orders, further emphasizing the desire for us to leave. I also observed that the server was not treating the white couple seated near us in the same manner, which is unacceptable. We ended up leaving at 6: 58 PM, just two minutes before the imposed deadline. I urge the business owner to address this issue with the server.
