Closed but Amazing Furikake Chicken
I was very disappointed to find this location permanently CLOSED : (. It was very sad to walk up and see it closed! However, I have to give 5 stars for the best furikake chicken dish this side of the city.

Mediocre Food, Still a Great Place
My experience at this restaurant was a bit of a mixed bag. While it's still a great place, the food took too long to make and ultimately, it wasn't the best flavor. Overall, it was a mediocre experience regarding the food.

Disappointing Hawaiian Food Experience
We were so excited to try this Hawaiian food place near our house. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The rice was dry, like it was a couple of days old, and the Mac salad was runny.
Every single dish we ordered was so salty that they were nearly inedible. In addition to the poor food quality, the young woman working at the front had a sassy and unhelpful attitude. We are so disappointed and will obviously not be going back again.

Authentic Hawaiian Food Gem
My experience at this restaurant was a delightful journey into authentic Hawaiian flavors. While the inside is a tad small with only a few cozy two/three-top tables, the fantastic food they produce makes up for it. Having grown up in Oahu, I can attest to their great Loco Moco (though I haven't tried the "Monstah Loco Moco" yet).
My personal favorite protein is their Kalua Pork, which is perfectly mixed with tender cabbage. We usually order two mix plates and an appetizer, like their Lumpia or the Kalbi Fried Rice. This is typically enough for two good-sized lunches for two people over two days, and the flavors of Hawaiian food seem to double down the next day.
I highly recommend giving this place a try if you're seeking a good, authentic Hawaiian food experience.

Juicy Short Ribs and Great Mac Salad
My experience at the restaurant was really good! I unfortunately don't have a picture of the food, but it was delicious. The short ribs were incredibly juicy and packed with flavor.
Their macaroni salad was also really good. The atmosphere and service were both rated a 5 out of 5, and there was plenty of free parking available.

Authentic Hawaiian Comfort Food
My first experience at Island Flavor in Spring Valley was a hit! The restaurant offers a casual, welcoming vibe, and the staff were friendly from the moment I walked in. It wasn't too crowded, allowing for a relaxed meal.
The service was attentive without being rushed, and I appreciated the effort to make customers feel at home, giving it a true “local spot” feeling. I ordered the mix plate, featuring furikake chicken and kalua pig with cabbage, along with mac salad. The chicken was delicious—crispy with a sweet glaze and perfect crunch, and the pork was tender and flavorful.
The creamy mac salad balanced the meal nicely. Portions were generous for the price, making it a hearty and satisfying meal. This is a great spot for real Hawaiian comfort food that's also affordable.
I'm eager to return and try their loco moco and roast pork.

Fried Rice with Carbon Deposits
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing due to the fried rice. This particular batch was not good, as it contained black flakes or carbon deposits. These appeared to be from old grease and food that had burned over time, suggesting improper and infrequent cleaning of the pan.
This was mixed into the food, making it inedible. Unfortunately, I also experienced stomach pain afterward.

Awesome Food and Service!
My experience at this restaurant was awesome. I placed an online order and was very happy with both the food and the service. We ordered the Furikake Chicken and Chicken Katsu, and they were both delicious.
We are regulars at the Skye Canyon location and will now be coming to this location.

Place Went Downhill
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. I was the only customer there, yet the food still wasn’t fresh. I would recommend driving to Grinds to the max off of Russel instead; it's worth the drive over this place.

A Taste of Home in Vegas
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The food was good overall, and the staff was friendly. I ordered the mix plate, which included furikake chicken and kalua pig and cabbage.
The chicken was delicious, with a nice sweet glaze and a satisfying crunch. The pig was tender and flavorful. My only minor "gripe" was that the Mac salad was a little bland, but that's subjective as no one's Mac salad lives up to my mom's.
Despite that, it was one of the better Mac salads I've had in Vegas. I'll definitely be back. The island throwbacks playing on the radio were a great touch, making this place my new spot for a taste of home.
