Abysmal Food and Nonexistent Service
My experience at this restaurant was abysmal. The food was terrible, and the customer service was nearly nonexistent. I had to ask multiple times for items that I had already paid for and ordered. I strongly advise others to stay away from this horrendous excuse for a restaurant.

Decent Universal Park Meal with Mixed Results
My experience at this Universal park restaurant was decent and affordable. While some dishes were better than others, Mel's meatball mountain was the best dish tried by the party. However, the ropa vieja wasn't great and the sandwiches were bland. The ambience was cute, though it was kinda annoying to sit through a meal with minion-themed music. Overall, it's a reasonable option for a park meal.

Flavorless Food, Pretty Desserts
My experience at this restaurant was mixed. While the atmosphere and service were rated a 4 out of 5, the food quality was a letdown, receiving a 3 out of 5. The noodle bowl was essentially just wet noodles with no flavor, and what looked like broth was just water. However, the meatball mountain was one of the better items we tried. The desserts were a highlight – neat, pretty, and good, especially the banana Swiss roll with banana cream. It seems much of the food at Universal, including here, lacks seasoning, so bringing your own salt and pepper is advisable.

Delicious Food, Soft Tostones
My experience at this cute restaurant was quite enjoyable. I tried the el macho’s salsa y ropa vieja, and it was so good. The tostones, however, could have been better as they were a little soft, but overall, the meal was delicious.

Amazing Food and Fun Atmosphere!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! I was impressed by the amazing food and the overall cleanliness of the place. There was a good variety of food, and we received our order in under 20 minutes. The rice and salmon were phenomenal, and the minion tots were incredibly good. I absolutely loved the Banana soda and dessert. The atmosphere was very fun and bright, and the staff was great as well.

Wonderful Experience with Allergy Accommodations
We had a truly wonderful experience here, especially considering it was our very first day at Universal and we arrived just 15 minutes before closing. With two members of our party having severe food allergies, we were incredibly impressed by the accommodating nature of Sam (restaurant manager) and Josh (waitstaff). They insisted we take our time and ensured all our meals were solid. We were particularly obsessed with the Minion Tots, rating them a 10/10. The desserts were also fantastic, with the PB&J Mousse Rock being surprisingly good and the passionfruit banana (served with the pineapple roll) becoming a highlight of our trip. The restaurant was quiet and easy to talk in, and the service was rated a 5/5.

Delicious Crispy Cauliflower, Spicy Cucumbers
My experience at the restaurant was largely positive, especially concerning the food. I ordered the Carl's Crispy Cauliflower, which was gluten-free and absolutely delicious. The cauliflower itself was very tasty and had the perfect amount of crunch. The accompanying rice and edamame beans were also very yummy. However, I found the cucumbers to be too spicy for my liking, and the sauce served on the side was also quite spicy. It's worth noting that they don't typically do to-go orders, but they were accommodating and managed to provide a to-go container.

Delightfully Silly Minion Vibes!
My experience at Illumination’s Minion’s Cafe was a delightfully silly one! The menu was diverse, and I appreciated that it wasn't just a bunch of bananas. The bright, goofy Minion vibes were all around, creating a fun atmosphere. I grabbed a table and enjoyed the experience. The Coca-Cola Freestyle was a nice touch. It was easy to find vegetarian options and substitutions, and they even have a vegetarian menu or section. The atmosphere was rated a 5, service a 4, and food a 4. The wait time was non-existent, and the noise level was moderate. The price per person was between $10–20.

Disappointing Otto Noodle Bowl Experience
My experience at the restaurant was quite disappointing, primarily due to the food quality. The Otto noodle bowl I received looked nothing like the advertised picture. Instead of whole cuts of pork, they used shredded pork from a sandwich. Furthermore, the noodles were advertised as udon but were clearly egg noodles, evident from their incorrect color and texture. To top it off, the egg was hardboiled and overcooked.

Exceptional Service from Ms. Dee Dee!
My experience at the restaurant was fantastic, especially the food, which was delicious. What truly stood out was the exceptional service provided by Ms. Dee Dee. When I thought I had lost my phone, she went above and beyond to help me find it. Out of all the park employees I spoke with, she was the only one who genuinely helped in every way possible. Huge thanks to her—I have my phone back 🙂. The atmosphere was also rated a 5.
