Lovely atmosphere, needs food improvement
My experience at this café was centered around its lovely atmosphere, making it a pleasant spot to sit and enjoy coffee. It's great to have a café in this area. However, the food was disappointing.

Mushroom Focaccia Pizza Disappointing
I tried their mushroom focaccia pizza and found it to be kind of hard and just not very tasty. I hope they’re not using some nasty oil when making it; they should be using olive oil. People at El Paco, please let me know.

Lively Oktoberfest with a Minor Hiccup
My experience at the restaurant during Oktoberfest on a Thursday was largely positive. The vibe was lively with a DJ and colorful decorations. There was no wait at the food counter, and the food arrived fast, hot, and tasty.
The only reason it wasn't a perfect 5-star experience was a small issue with a pretzel order. I asked if it came with sauce and was told mustard, but it was delivered plain. I had to ask for the mustard separately and wait for it.
Despite this, the great atmosphere, phenomenal views, and friendly staff made for a good time. 😊

Incredible Views and Friendly Locals
My experience at this café was incredible. Situated with incredible views of the Golden Gate and the whole bay, this is a café environment that goes way beyond that. The food is really good.
The people are exceptionally friendly, and as locals, we love it and think it’s great. I don’t understand why it is rated at three stars.

Delicious Pandino and Pizza with Great Views
I ordered the Classic Pandino sandwich and Pepperoni Pizza, and I have to admit, my expectations weren't very high. However, the sandwich was made fresh and was deliciously perfect, hitting the spot as a late afternoon snack on a sunny but windy autumn day. The focaccia pizza's bread was crispy and had the perfect density – my kids didn't finish it, so I did!
The restaurant also offers great views and plenty of options.

Great Presidio Break with Delicious Food
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic. I enjoyed their tasty focaccia pizza and sourdough bread sandwiches, along with some really delicious baked goods. It's a great place to take a break if you're in the Presidio, offering great views.
The atmosphere and service were excellent, contributing to a very enjoyable dinner.

Mediocre Pastries, Alright Mains
My experience at this restaurant was pretty mediocre. The pizza and sandwiches were alright, but the pastries have unfortunately gotten worse recently. All of them are now dry and stale, which is a shame because they used to be typical coffee shop quality.

Overpriced and Average Food
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing due to the mediocre food and sky-high prices. While the location is great with nice outdoor seating, it feels like a wasted opportunity. For example, a slice of focaccia costs $15, lasagna is $18, and a farro salad is $19 – these prices are crazy.
The bakery items, though plentiful, are made in an industrial bakery and are very average. They don't even provide water; instead, you have to use circular triangular cups without holders at the water stand. It makes you wonder if selling water is that important, especially considering the establishment's known profitability.

Great Coffee and Atmosphere, Food Looks Delicious
I’m not sure why the rating on this place is so low. The coffee is great. It’s got beautiful seating with glass that blocks out the wind and there’s heaters for a cold day.
The service was prompt and though I haven’t tried the food yet, it looks delicious. The food is reasonably priced. Muffins are about five bucks, pizza is between $10 and $15, and sandwiches are $20.
It’s not cheap but it’s not crazy expensive either.

Disappointing Italian Cafe Experience
My experience at this Italian cafe was quite disappointing. The overall vibe felt like it had no substance, and I'd recommend going to the main pavilion with the food trucks instead. It's baffling that an Italian cafe wouldn't have an espresso machine; all espresso drinks are made using a screen reminiscent of a 2013 office building kitchen.
Furthermore, the pastries were mostly dry and stale, appearing as if they had been shipped in days prior.
