Great Bites and Service
My experience at the restaurant was great. We sat at the bar table and enjoyed all the good bites. The service was great, and I recommend getting it with sake.
Overall, a great experience.

Great Experience, High Price
What an experience! We were served about eight courses, and everything we had was very good, very fresh, and well presented. The service was also very good, with prompt course servings and a kind waiter.
The price was quite high, around $150, but I think it's about normal for this kind of experience. The only downside for me was not getting any interaction with the chef, which is part of the experience of being on the patio, as opposed to inside. Overall, it was a great experience.

Amazing Omakase Experience!
My experience at this restaurant was truly amazing! I enjoyed a delicious Omakase, featuring fresh fish from Japan and locally. The gastronomical delight was complemented by the remarkable stories shared by the very friendly owners.
I highly recommend supporting this local establishment for an unforgettable dining experience.

Ichifuji: A Must-Try Omakase Experience
This was my third visit to Ichifuji, and it remains my absolute favorite omakase spot in San Diego. Their seasonal menu ensures a unique experience each time, so I highly recommend visiting multiple times to fully appreciate it. The chefs are incredibly knowledgeable about their creations, even offering a chance to compare different types of uni, including one sourced from San Diego.
We always leave feeling completely satisfied, as there are plenty of items served. The finisher dessert, especially the sorbet/ice cream, is a standout and absolutely to die for! Every dish was delicious, making it hard to pick favorites.
If you're in San Diego, don't miss out on what I consider the best omakase in town!

Simply Top Notch Experience
My experience at this restaurant was simply top notch. The food was excellent, and the service was outstanding. I particularly enjoyed the fact that the menu changes along with season rotation.
I am already looking forward to returning in the fall.

Okay Experience, Missed Counter Vibe
My experience at the restaurant was just okay. We sat outside, which meant we didn't get the traditional counter experience. While the server was very attentive, it felt like a second-rate experience overall.
I need to experience the counter to form a full opinion of the restaurant. I'm curious to see if they reach out to help turn this into a 5-star experience.

Ichifuji: A Sushi Masterpiece
My experience at Ichifuji was absolutely amazing. Having eaten at both Ichifuji and Soichi, I can honestly say they are on the same level, and I fail to see where either one has an edge. The sushi chefs at Ichifuji were engaging with everyone at the sushi bar.
The servers were quick to ensure everything in front of you was perfect, from clearing empty plates to making sure your drink was always full; the team was on point. The omakase is a must. Everything was perfectly thought out and coherent throughout the meal.
The sushi rice was light and delicate with the perfect amount of vinegar. The fish was fresh and bright. I have no complaints whatsoever, aside from the fact that I don't live in the San Diego area to enjoy Ichifuji more often.
Phenomenal.

Delicious Sushi and Great Company
My experience at Ichifuji Sushi was fantastic. The food is reliably delicious, and Masato is wonderful to chat with. The atmosphere and service were both rated a perfect 5 out of 5, making for a truly enjoyable dinner.
Reservations are recommended, and the price per person is $100+.
